Aslin Beer Co. Releases

They responded to a similar Instagram/FB question saying cans will be available in both Alexandria and Herndon. They had a bunch of cans stored inside during the Anny party so seems they have the space despite whatever construction issues persist.

 

I own a car and am not a heavy drinker, but for those who don't and who are...how is the walk from the Van **** Metro Station to the new location?

 

Decent walk from what I remember. 1.1 miles per the Google. Good luck crossing Van Dorn with a case of beer-lol. This news of eventually shutting down Herndon and opening in Alexandria will definitely reduce my visits from 3-4 times a month to probably once every 6 weeks or so. It'll be good for them - they'll get people from DC and MD more often. Here's hoping they don't shut down Herndon too soon!

Are you able to buy one can each of the ipa’s and Berliners or does it have to be a 4 pack?

 

You must buy the four pack. Back in the days of lines i always wondered if there would be folks who would be willing to split four packs with me when i wanted to try something new...but i was afraid of sounding like a dope.

 

Please email them and suggest they start selling singles, I have and if more people do then maybe they will start. [email protected]

At least until there is somewhere that you can try the beers (taproom), singles would be a nice way for their customers to have the chance to try all their beers. I'd probably end up buying more beer from them, instead of getting a couple 4 packs, I'd get the 4 packs plus a few singles.

 

That's a good idea unless they raise the price of singles to an absurd amount.

 

Note to any Aslin newbies: They used to do singles. Can't remember when it was that they stopped.

 

Agree, it'd be awesome to get singles. I feel like this is even less likely though now that they have so many cans and they're sitting around for longer.

 

It's been at least a year and a half. My first visit was in April 2017, and they were not selling singles then. They were still filling growlers, though.
Side note - missed that Bottle Logic collab stout....anyone try it?

 

Did it sell out? They just started selling it yesterday.

Anyone go to the Oktoberfest? Is there anything to do for someone who doesn't drink beer/kids? Or is this just a parking lot with a food truck and some tables?

I feel like peanut butter just ruins any stout. Personal preference, but the PM Dawn from Trillium is pretty awesome.....Peanut Butter PM Dawn? Blech.
