Hey folks, I have a friend coming to stay with me from Sydney and she has asked if she can bring me anything special from Australia to NYC, which is totally generous of her. I was hoping some locals could give me some recommendations to pass on to her. I've looked at the top beers for Australia a bit but I'm interested in any further opinions. Not looking for hoppy stuff so much, don't want it getting ruined en route in the heat, plus we have a lot of good stuff like here already. Also are the good Belgians like Cantillon, De Struise, 3F, etc, available in Sydney?

    Thanks so much in advance!

She should be able to find some Cantillon for you, other then that, Nail Clout Stout (expensive though).

fresh stone & wood pacific ale. you don't have to worry about heat, it's not that warm in the cargo hold of a plane.

Nogne 0 / Bridge Road India Saison would be 'different' (and a great beer) not that easy to find in Sydney tho
