In July I am going to a Bachelor party in Portland. I live in San Diego and have never been to Portland. I am looking for ideas, things to do, things not to do, places to go, places to eat, places to drink, stippers to put though college, etc... anything goes... at least as far as suggestions.

Not that I'm a stripper fiend from my memory most places that have strippers don't do good beer. However you could always get a hotel room in portland and look in the classified papers for some good times.

Bring your appetite with you. The owner of the Acropolis owns his own cattle ranch, so they have some of the cheapest (and tastiest) steaks and burgers in town. Seriously, where else can you get a 2lb burger with fries for $9?

The background image of the menu is slightly NSFW, but you can see it here: http://i.imgur.com/GGPVzpC

edit: Oh, and apparently they're up to 65 taps now...

Sassy's on SE Morrison is a block away from the Cascade Barrel House.

Or: The Cascade Barrel House on SE Belmont is a block away from Sassy's.

    Either way: convenient.

I've "heard" good things about Sassy's. And their taplist.

i can't recommend sassy's enough. the Acrop used to be the best game in town, but i stopped going because it's really a destination spot, with nothing else nearby. sassy's is right in the middle of everything, and while they don't have as many taps as the Acrop, they have a very quality selection of handles. and it's an easy walk to Union Jacks from there as well. (also recommended, even if they do have a cover).

portland strip clubs are like no where on earth. just typing this makes me sad that i moved away.

Haven't been to Sassy's, but have been to the Acropolis one time. When I'm talking to friends back East about the best beer cities in the country, at some point I usually bring up the Acropolis when I'm bragging about Portland. That typically ends the discussion right there.

True true and true. After they put those fancy lights in union jacks, I feel too grimey to be in there (just speaking for myself), but def worth the bachelor party strip club crawl.
