They are saying it will be available mid November as International Beverage picked them up.

So glad I won't (potentially) need to chase cans of Grapefruit Sculpin around OH and IL anymore!

Another brewery that will sell well in the first couple of months and then become a shelf turd like a bunch of others that have done the same...Would rather see more Michigan beers on the shelf//

It's a hard market here with all of our great Michigan breweries.

I totally agree with you about more Michigan beers, but I want some variety and it will be nice to have Sculpin on shelves. I drink almost exclusively Michigan beers, and the remaining is like 80% Chicago or Cleveland.

That's pretty much how it is for out of state breweries in states that have their own great beer market. But Ballast Point makes great beers and the only reason you'll see old Sculpin on shelves is the same reason you see old Sculpin in other states, the price.

Well... it's November. Anybody in the supply chain have any more details? Late in the month? Early in the month? Which beers will be hitting MI with the first arrivals?

We can still speculate wildly though, right?

I'm assuming Regular Scuplin is a given. Beyond that, a lot of breweries seem reluctant to initially send their more limited stuff (which makes no sense to me - send the good stuff in the initial shipment to drive interest in the brand, right?) But I figure we'll get at least two of the GFS/HS/VAS trio that seems to drive the most interest on these forums. Personally, I'll probably only be buying Habanero Sculpin and maybe an occasional can of the regular. I love both those beers, but it's just hard to justify the price point.

Same. I'm not sure why I'd pay the $15/sixer for Sculpin when there are better IPAs in state for damn near half the price.

I do like the habanero one a bit though, though I've found the heat fluctuates wildly between batches.

Beer Baron in Livonia has a huge Ballast Point graphic in the window, as of some time last week. I haven't been in to see if they have any, but I'm thinking it will be on shelves pretty soon, if that's any kind of sign.

Per a conversation I had with my rep this morning, mid December is looking like a possibility. No word on what will be available.
