Traded for a XVII after a friend shared a bottle of XV a few weeks back. It made me a believer. So much espresso I had to do a double take upon examining the bottle to make sure coffee was not added. Simply superb. Going to sit on my bottle and hope it ages just as well.

Great taste on the XVII but the mouth feel was not what I was hoping for... wanted some more thickness and velvet, wonder what it would have tasted like nitro'd

I got the XVII in Oklahoma this past Monday. Cost $22 which I was really surprised by. I got it fresh off the truck so it wasn't marked. I don't regret buying it, after hearing all of the praise for it. I was extremely surprised to see it in OK.

The price is definitely obscene, I think I paid $23.99... but it's also not something you will regret.

My beer pusher offered me a bottle at $22.99. I happily said OK, and put it in the box. The bottle was of good size, and I looked at the contents, and thought I read 1 pint and 9 oz, making it a 750 ml. Oh no, it was 1 pint and .9 oz, making it a 500ml, 16.9oz. I laughed at myself. I look forward to the experience of sipping, but the bottom of the snifter will arrive much too soon. Cheers.

Sounds like I got a great deal at $20.99. I wish I would have grabbed a second bottle. Several stores in my area got both BA Rasputin and Old Stock Cellar Reserve in together. The Rasputin was gone in a flash, but three weeks later and the Old Stock is still around. Strange.

Lol, I think I spent it on weed instead.

Opened up a XV a couple of months ago. It was really... really ... good. Good enough that I didn't think twice about buying this year's at $24.

It's back - XVIII - and with a friend I had not seen before: the one aged in Wheat Whiskey barrels. Got both the Rye and Wheat in Omaha today, but the rye one is in the Chicago 'burbs too. All were priced at $19.99, which is $2-$3 less than I had expected.

Any one tried the wheat vs the rye?

It is very good, but also on the expense side!! It's definitely worth the try. And if you have deep pockets go back for more.
    Just my two cents.

It's crazy to me how cheap the non barrel version is compared to the barrel one. I have a XVI and XV in the cellar, will likely grab one bottle of XVII when I see it despite the price. But, it's not one I plan on buying multiples of.

It's what all Rasputins need really. I keep 4 in my cellar at all times
