I'm not bay area both these threads have low traffic so making sure both are in quarterly formats.
Looking like stops at CBS and K&L are required today. Don't worry, I'll save enough money for CM Wicked Juicy and Highway To The Dankerzone cans tomorrow.
Sonoma Springs Harvey & Irma (wouldn't normally buy their cans, but the money goes to a good cause)
El Segundo/Alvarado Sidekicks (very interested in this one)
I'll holla if I come across anything else I think is worth mentioning.
$30 six packs of Epic Praise the Haze at CBS!
How often have you been in a bottleshop and had someone working there suggest you not buy a specific beer? As if every beer in the store is for me. I've noticed I've never heard an employee say that to a customer or myself.
Found cans of Epic Praise the Haze at Jackson Market for $2.99 a can. I'm surprised CBS is charging $5 for the same beer unless I read it wrong.
Where did this happen and what beer?
It hasn't happened and that's my point. Just something I was thinking about while in CBS today. I've never heard anyone working in there tell someone to not buy a particular beer. I understand their job is to sell beer, but they know a lot of their customers and generally what they like and I've never once heard anyone say I wouldn't buy this or that beer.
Where was the Sidekicks? I didn't see it at CBS when I was there Saturday. Did you see it at K&L? I'd like to try it too...
That is a mediocre IPA at best. I wouldn't even pay the $2.99 lol
K&L has Sidekicks. Had one last night, good brew. Clean and crisp.
It was alright.
Windy Hill cans (Simcoe and Cascade) at K&L.
$13 Frambois de Amarosa at Costco in Foster City.
It was strange because every other beer they had was quite pedestrian...
New beer dump on K&L. Check yo inboxes
I already bought all the Windy Hill, Hubert, Ubahdank, Asterisk and Kold Shauer cans so don't go for any of those.
I gotta get on that K&L list. Sign up in store?
Probably, but you can also add yourself to their mailing list from their site: https://www.klwines.com/
Very bottom of the page, on the left.
Pizza Port Nelson The Greeter cans at Jackson Market. Anyone had it?
That's a great can and a great story (Nelson The Greeter), beer is good too. Roughly five or so outside CBS at noon which means plenty of Riot Punch and Super Rad cans left. Managed to get the last three MT Spaceship Earth cans.
Nor Cal Whole Foods 20% off today.
Born Yesterday just dropped at Healthy Spirits. I'm sure City Beer also got them in.
Yep. K&L and BevMo also have it. I know what I'm doing tonight.
Dammit I was going to take a week off drinking...
Haha this is not the time of year for that kind of nonsense, so many great beers coming out!
Very true, harvest season is like Christmas for hop heads
Yep that, plus a lot of really good dark and barrel aged beers come out around this time.
Not sure if they are still as sought after as they once were, or if it even really belongs in this thread - but five or six different kinds of Alvarado cans in the to-go section at The Cooler in San Leandro when I was there this weekend.
Also a whole bunch of Pliny bottles.
Plenty of Wave Jammer and Amigos cans at CBS. They also have MT Spaceship Earth cans and Lagunitas BY bottles.
Does anyone know if Alvarado delivers cans anywhere between San Jose and San Carlos? I can't make it to Ale Arsenal today.
I did get a Pliny at Los Altos WF tho. Check out the sign....WHOOPIE!!! Lol.
late but gourmet haus staudt is the only one i can think of
If you're including SJ in there, Original Gravity has them. Probably ISO Beer as well.
Anyone seen FW Inferos or Henhouse Mr. October cans?
Berkeley Bowl West and Whole Foods (Gilman) both in Berkeley had cans of Mr. October and Stoked! on Mosaic (which I am loving!).
Yes, got Inferos at Cask N Flask last week. Should also have it at Maplewood.
Really liking Hop Mix #2, Super smooth and drinkable. Quite enjoyable if not exploding with flavor.
Plenty of Cold Pressed and the Alvarado kettle sour at CBS. Picked up that Hop Mix, will try it asap.
Just picked up some Consecration, Hop Mix Vol 2, Leo v Ursus Inferos, and Mocha Velvet Merlin from K&L SF. Looking forward to tonight.
