BCBS in Austin 2015

They getting rare or just reg bcbs?

 

Only HEBs got Rare.

 

Only heb I heard had rare thus far has been mueller and then escarpment this morning. Is anyone else expected to receive it or has already?

 

I hit up Parmer/Mcneil and Mopac/Parmer last night and they had zilch. The former had a decent amount of other good beers last weekend but they're halfway gone now.

 

Any word on when the delayed variants will be released?

 

So Coffee and Barleywine showed up at HEB Mueller and Round Rock today.

 

Saw Mueller on Twitter but not RR. Source?

Also, no mention on Regal that I've seen.

 

Round Rock said no, but Mueller did have it. They had about a case of each left when I left about 20 minutes ago. Don't know if they had more in the back.

 

HEB 620/Anderson Mill, not round rock. Bad information.

 

Cool. Maybe I will be able to get some this week before I have to head out of town.

I highly doubt it was Volente HEB (Anderson Mill/620). I live over there and called about it. They didn't know what the hell I was talking about.

Their beer department is pretty weak compared to Lakeline or 620/2222 and don't get much of anything limited from my experience.

 

Friend of mine picked up Barleywine at that location (Anderson Mill/620) yesterday, they were out of coffee.

 

Ok thanks. I guess I should give them more credit. Tbh, I don't even try to find stuff there due to the lack of an informed beer manager.

Anyone asked about other specs locations? How much regal is there out at Brodie? Looking to land a bottle

 

Hard to say. They had them at the checkout. I would guess about 2 cases of each were on display. It's entirely possible that they had more elsewhere. Limit 1 per variant per person.

 

I stopped by the Brodie Specs at lunch. Had all three at one variant per person as well. Charged $20 for the Regal which I wasn't aware of.

 

I looked up Spec's online inventory and they don't even list the variants except for Rare at the moment. I'm heading by Spec's Arbor Walk this afternoon to get some other stuff anyway, so I'll at least ask there. I'm really just looking for the barleywine myself.

 

Went by last night and didn't see it at the Anderson Mill location. The beer Dept there sucks though, so they could have very well got it and still had no idea what you are talking about. Lakeline beer guy said they won't be getting the variants at all.

 

Specs Arborwalk has them as well. 1 per, $22 for RR, $12 for BCBCS/BW.

Had them in the back, so not sure of amount left.

 

Round Rock HEB on 620 and O'Connor had BCBS regular bottles at $9.99 yesterday evening.

 

Dude, HEB Mueller had TWO stacks of Barleywine last night. I wanted Coffee but no dice. I picked up two of the aforementioned Barleywine's.

 

No Coffee as of 9:30PM last night.

 

Yeah, I don't feel like driving all over to pick up this stuff, so Mueller wasn't convenient to me at all. Regular was so easy to get that I'm pretty happy with that and whatever I can pick up at spec's today, I guess.

 

went to Arbor Walk around 3:30 yesterday and they only had barleywine left also. Apparently people had been calling about Regal all day and it didn't last very long.

 

Really trying to avoid trading for regal but it's looking pretty rough at this point in terms of acquiring it otherwise

 

Went to Whole Foods Domain for lunch and picked up a BB12 and the barleywine. They got 1 case of Regal and Coffee this morning and apparently people were following the trucks around. They sold out of both instantly. Such is the beer scene these days.

 

Lol, it seems like those who have a 9-5 can't play the rare beer game these days.

 

A guy working at the Arborwalk Specs yesterday told me a bunch of people called in sick to line up at 10 when they opened.

I get that people like beer and everything, but this whole thing is getting crazier and crazier.

I just want a Coffee BCBS. Seemingly, they're more than than a unicorn. That said, if anyone is still looking for regular BCBS, Spec's Airport still has it with ZERO limit.
