Thanks for the reminder. Judging from some 18th St line pictures I thought today was mediocre and overpriced BA Milk Stout day.

I understand GI taking a hard line stance on making changes to tickets. Aside from wanting to do their best to curb abuse, I have a feeling they don't want to devote the man hours to making a bunch of ticket changes. Even making one exception becomes a potential PR nightmare if anyone who wasn't able to get theirs changed and is out $40 finds out that someone else *did* get theirs changed.

All that said, it's stupid that they even allowed people to put their own name on both tickets. Especially if they knew that any person who bought a guest ticket with their own name on it wasn't going to be able to use it.

well, thankfully you didn't have any pretrades setup...

Rumor has it, guests should have no problem getting in as long as they are with the main ticket holder. I should've taken a chance and went anyway.

I typically don't pretrade. Mostly because I'm a pessimist and I'm always thinking about how things might go wrong before I get the bottles

that's what I would've probably done as well, I mean you already had the day and time blocked for it
I typically don't pretrade bottles I don't have, but I will periodically pretrade w folks guaranteed an allotment with bottles I have in possession. I have been burned by this many times, most recently during Sherry Atrial, Gin Clara releases, however, because "no bottles were lost" I just swallow the pill, bite the bullet and let it go...

I didn't want to take a chance and have my buddy lose his ticket. With the hard stance they too over the phone, and the verbiage on the ticket regarding no transfers or altering which would result in total loss of both tickets, it wasn't a chance I was willing to take

If anyone can shine some light on the check in process when showing up as a guest of the primary ticket holder (ie: presenting the tickets) it would be much appreciated. I'm going to session B, and looking to know what to expect.

if 250 people at barrel house already and theyve only had bottle sales going for an hour, seems pretty smooth to me!

5 mins to get bottles, line is at barrel house. But food music and nice people help pass the time.

Josh Noel reporting 742 people went through the bottle line at Fulton and Wood for this session. Thats the first inkling of numbers for the winners of the lotto.

Looks like the line for checkin and bottles goes super fast followed by a long wait for the barrel house.

Were they letting you guys just buy your bottles right after 10am checkin or did they make you wait till 11?

I was talking to someone at GI last night and she told us the numbers, but I can't remember. She also didn't know if it counted the +1s or not. It was something like 1000/70000 won the lottery, so around 15% of entries (halved if the 1000 number includes +1s).

Is it possible to have "off flavors" for barrels no one's ever tried to use for barrel aging?

2010 Vanilla was a mystery tapping, I'm pretty sure. Rare I though was fantastic, just on how smooth it was if nothing else. Great, well run event IMO.
