Between a buddy and I we've amassed 10 bottles. We went to the stores that we buy a shit load of beer at all year.

If you buy beer from the same places and aren't a dick to the people that work there they have no problem calling you when something limited comes in. I wasn't on a single "list" and got a bunch. If you aren't a year round customer and just show up for big releases, store owners probably won't have a bottle or two with your name on it.

The hoarding mentality and the proud of it attitude I can't help but think are what's wrong with not only the beer community but this country.

8 beers is hoarding? Ever buy a 12 pack?

What's wrong with this country is people worrying about what others spend their money on. Instead of bitching......go find some Cherry.

Wow .. beer buying is now a sign of a 'problem ' with the country. Rofl......melodramatic much?

Cherry really is not that great, to be honest.

I'm glad I didnt buy more. Cherry adds some nice tartness but depth is lacking.
I like the regular '12 BCBS better, and in fact having this bottle just makes me want to buy more of the regular.

I think of another very recently released barrel aged beer that I would rather spend my $20 on. Good thing its not overly hyped like BCBS, will be easier to buy.

How it won FOBAB is questioning. Bring me the King, please.

Every one I went to at FoBAB thought the exact same thing. Will be interesting to see if the tartness will fall off over time and it will become more balanced.

I completely disagree man. Bramble was tart this was sweet and whole cherries added a unique flavor. With the 7 people i was with all agreed it was the best variant to date (beside rare)

If the fruit presence is anything like Bramble (didn't try it at FOBAB...too many other awesome brews), then I'm sure I'll dislike/borderline hate it. Not sure if I'll even try to hunt a bottle down. It was hard enough to get Coffee.

ya, probably a little dramatic bit but the fact that there's a 100 people from chicago in the ISO:FT forum looking for cherry while there's a handful on here gloating does come off as kinda sh!tty behavior. Whatever its a free country but I don't know why anybody would gloat about what they have while there's a bunch of people didn't get any..... now doesn't that sound like problamatic behavior that could be applied to the world at large? ahhhhh... I shouldn't be arguing with you

I agree, I tried it at FOBAB. I thought it was good, not as great as it was made out to be. Though, I'd like to get another bottle and put some time on it to see how it tastes.

sorry to quote this from way back, but it's belgian red that isn't available. raspberry tart is still quite plentiful. regardless, both sound delicious blended into some bcbs. i happen to have a belgian red sitting around so i might just do that...

I agree 100%, had it at Fobab and decided not to chase it when it comes out....Well at least it will be easy to trade these since people are offering their 1st born for a bottle...I hope the coffee tastes great! I added Raspberry Tart with Jones Dog and it was great....maybe I will add it to reg bcbs...hmmmm

Clearly, you just can't taste the rarity.

I just hope I like this one as much as bramble....strangely that one was my hands down favorite BCBS variant.

I highly doubt that all of Chicago got everything they are going to get when it comes to both of these. Just cause it started early doesn't mean we're all screwed. Everybody needs to calm down. Congrats to those that got theirs. I'll get mine eventually. And if not there's more beer so it'll be okay. And hey, there's always next year.
