Interesting, I cracked a bottle two nights ago, I found it to be more carbonated and a touch more boozy than previous batches. I thought it was freakin' fantastic, but not as good as the first two (i.e. it's in the 4.5 range as opposed to the 5.0 I gave it in 2010). I think some may like it more though for the reasons I stated.

Work for Intelli and no coffee from the Caballero family (La Tortuga) I've tasted has spiciness, generally should have more of a juicy tropical fruit and chocolate qualities, although I wouldn't expect those to make it's way into the beer.

Same here. Even noted cinnamon in my review yesterday...thought I might be going insane, but apparently not.

    Hooray.

A lot of the bottles of 2011 I've had had a green pepper spiciness to them. Are you saying this one is different than those, like a hotter pepper or the cinnamon stx is talking about?

i think alot of places are going to say they dont have it to avoid a hassle....when places are getting a case at max they probably dont want a hundred people showing up looking for it....probably just going to have to walk into a store and find it...just my opinion tho

How many people are in line now?
Trying to decide if its worth it to head there or go to Castle Vav and take my chances on the raffle.

Around 5:45. Another dude showed ten mins later. Vav indicated the coupon won't work for beers with bottle limits

Coffee won't be so hard to obtain but Cherry Rye is pretty damn limited. As Vav said, he's GI's biggest customer and he got 1 case. Many places aren't getting that much.
