I grabbed two of each and had a flight. Looks like Burundi is sold out at BWLB, which sucks since that's the better of the two variants IMO

    It impacted your life how?

When I was a wee babe, my parents used me as a human umbrella while camping out for the '84 Spuds MacKenzie Bud Heavy cans. I turned out alright.

Impact my life? Not at all. But I mean, if I see a dog in a parking lot car with the windows up during a heatwave, I'll probably think "Man, what kind of dick owners are these folks?"

The correct thought for that situation is to break a window and free the dog.
With that in mind what should you have done to the woman with the baby and the stroller?

Just got here. Unless they have more in back they are down to less than a case of regular. No more variants.

Yeah figured variants would be gone, was hoping to score a bottle or two of reg. Looks like I may luck out.

Thought I grabbed the last one but I guess the lady said she found some more. Possibly 2 cases left, don't know if they were full.

I'm trying the two variants on draft right now and I'm having a tough time figuring out the differences. I want to say that there is a difference between the two but I don't know if that's in my mind or what. They're still good, though.

Side note: I tried the smoked ham. It is the SUPERIOR sandwich when compared to their pulled pork.

Then that's what I'm ordering next time. Unless... the nachos hypnotizes me again.

Same here, made me feel ok that I missed out on the variant bottles.

Drinking out of the bottle helps. I find that the Burundi has a bit of berry sweetness and deep bourbony notes, whereas the Elida has a more floral, tropical sweetness with a bit of hazelnut.

Ninja Edit: My preference is for Burundi and my wife prefers the Elida. Love them both.

Doesn't look like it. I know Hop Kong Fooey is long gone and Hop Vader replaced it last Friday. It would be nice to see the HB "on tap" page updated. I know they won't have many changes. And maybe what's available for growler fills. 32oz please.....lol.

Ballast Point has a gose with toasted beechwood on tap called 'Why So Salty'.

    Their rebuttal to Invasive Species?

Pardon my ignorance, as I'm an SD guy who doesn't make it up to LA a ton. I see people have noted that the tap lists aren't often updated. I'll be very near the LB location tonight but their hopcam shows only 2 beers on tap. Any chance that is correct? It also shows Tovarish bottles to go so it can't be that old.
