Awesome, should be plenty to stop by Saturday or Sunday and still get some. Can't wait.

It's also good to see they've switched to dates, Vinnie had said they were thinking about doing that for everything to obviate the bottle log. Didn't expect it to happen so quickly!

Yeah, if they move 12,000 bottles on Friday, I just won't know what to think any more. I actually wish the limit were lower, though. 6 per customer is a minimum of 2,000 customers, which isn't impossible for one day. 2 per customer would really make it last for everyone who wants it and can't just skip work on the 30th...

I'm bummed cause I'll probably be down at Firestone Walker's From The Barrel in Paso ... but I think I should have time to stop through the brewpub and then head down to From The Barrel .. where Russian River will be sending beer to as well! :)

and damn him for releasing it correctly, for locals, instead of spreading it out thin.

Though I like the way he is handling the release I am sad it will not be so easy for me to get. I guess I will have to set up a trade. Any SD locals want to work out an IP trade?

Wasn't the batch 4 release somewhere around 250 bottles? That would make this release a lot more than 20 times as big as batch 4.

Great, they're releasing it just before I head out of the country. I'll have to go grab a few bottles.

In order to sell out fast, there would have to be 2000 people each willing to buy 6 bottles. Yeah, I expect the beer to last at least into the week.

Cheers to this guys. Although, it sucks that it won't be on tap, oh well.

See ya'll on the morning of the 30th. I get that there are no longer batch numbers but isn't it Batch 5 AKA 011012?

Damnit. Batch 5, not batch 6.

Woops. And, kind of the wrong forum, should have been in Beer Releases. Sorry.

to be fair, you predicted that the previous batch would last all day. i assume nothing in beer anymore.

especially with the last Expo release, that was suppose to last through the week.

Well, it is going to be much easier then prior Beat releases in any event.

    Like, much, much, much, easier.

It took less than 24 hours for 2,000 people to go buy scratch tickets to win a chance for the right to buy a beer (ktg) so why anyone thinks this release where you actually get the bottles of arguably a better beer would be any different is beyond me.

Do they consider a case to be 12 bottles or 24?

FfaC lasted a pretty long time each day, but since there was some guaranteed every day this might be different. But the main reason people were wrong about the last batch selling so quickly (or, at least, why I was wrong about it) is that few people expected RR to release a single barrel's worth. I'm still a bit surprised by that.

Everybody would have to buy 6 bottles at 15$ a pop. Slightly different than 2$ tickets.

I wouldn't have high hope like that. Don't even know if this batch can last through Saturday. Last time they sold 300 bottles in 15 minutes with 2 bottles per person limit. With 6 bottles limit, they will fly out even faster. How many bottles Dark Lord FFF sold in Dark Lord day with 4 bottles limit this year?

If the 2011 Framboise had Sonambic as the base beer it would have sold out a whole lot quicker. Temptation with raspberries isn't as popular as Beatification with raspberries.

It's Russian River. It's Beatification. It doesn't matter.

Hype will be hyped. Hysteria will be hysterical. Lines will be lined.

I heard that you can trade 1 bottle Beatification b5 for a Midnight Sun M ( Heck , you can even trade Maharaja for an M on the other site). Start lining up and camping over night.

This batch will be released almost 4 years to the day batch 002 was released with no hype or fanfare. Crazy how things have changed. I still can't see them selling $180,000 in Beatification in one day. I do see this number being hit 4-5 days after the release date.
