    semi-official press release:

SIXPOINT BREWERY RELEASES "GLOBAL WARMER" in 6-PACKS

MAD SCIENTISTS’ ORIGINAL 1999 HOMEBREW FORMULATION NOW RELEASED IN 6-PACKS OF 12OZ CANS FOR THE FIRST TIME

NOVEMBER 12, 2014, BROOKLYN, NYC, USA, WESTERN HEMISPHERE, PLANET EARTH, MILKY WAY -
Brooklyn-based Sixpoint Brewery today announced the release of its "GLOBAL WARMER" - a homebrew formulation dating back to 1999, first released commercially by Sixpoint on draft in 2005, and re-released in 4-packs and on draft last year. Now Global Warmer will join the ranks of Bengali, Sweet Action, Crisp, Resin, and Sensi as the only craft cans in 6-packs of 12oz sleeks.

"Some of the most frequent feedback we received last year about the Global Warmer was that our fans wanted to enjoy it in a 6-pack instead of a 4-pack. With the overhaul of our packaging design and our packaging line earlier this ear, it seemed like the perfect time to give our customers what they wanted and rope the Global Warmer into the 6-pack fold!" remarked Shane Welch, Chief Visionary of Sixpoint Brewery.

Global Warmer was first brewed on the back porch in Madison, WI in 1999. It was a balmy December afternoon, and Shane and his sidekick Steve decided it would be best to brew the batch of homebrew wearing shorts and Hawaiian shirts. The brew originally commemorated the lovely and satisfying warm winds of Winter. OK Computer was in heavy rotation. As usual, no animals were harmed during the creation of this beer.

Of course, Shane and Steve did not think at the time that Global Warmer would one day end up in cans or that "microbrews" would one day be known as "craft beer." It was simply about good times and homebrewing with your bro. And with temperatures that warm, who had time for a sugary spice-bomb? Away went the English Winter Warmer, and a new formulation was created. Even back in 1999 the Beer Climate was changing. Seasons creep but the beer must remain Cyc. It's Mad Science.

Drop us a line and let us know what you think!

@Sixpoint I know Sixpoint doesn't like to tell much about their beers and just recently told us the style of beers. Able to give any info to what hops are used for Global Warmer.

PS - Love the Bengali in 24 oz resealable cans. The beer is great and the design is awesome!
PSS - Really looking forward to Hi-Res in about two months.

    Cheers!

Where is the "I can't buy any Sixpoint products because you don't distro to my state" option?

A juicy grapefruit bomb as I recall ..... I'm in for 2 sixers on first sight. Thanks sixpoint, love this beer .... hopefully a tad more reasonable than the 15.99/4pk I saw at times last year.

Love the art. I'll definitely be getting a pack.

For the record, I prefer 4-packs when reasonably priced - which Sixpoint brews invariably are. I don't like to commit to 6 beers at a time, especially with as many IPAs as I buy. So I'm a fan of the 4-pack format.

But I'll buy a pack of Global Warmer, whatever the format.

These 6packs should be no more than $11.99 in most markets - let us know if you see anything different

13.99 in western mass. Not that it's a bad price, but when every dollar counts, 11.99 would be better.

Mathematically, that would be the next logical size for Sixpoint

    12oz, 16oz, 24oz, 40oz

No kidding. That is an awful lot of word to use in a press release abut a beer without actually telling me about the beer

I think it is less about the beer, and more about the timing, and the fact that what used to be in 4 packs is now in a 6 pack
(perhaps the assumption is that people already know what the Global warmer is?)

    Imperial Red Ale
    70 IBU
    17 SRM
    7% ABV

Good point, but if they took the time to tell me about what type of shirts they were brewing maybe they could have at least give me few word about the beers.

    Cheers!!!
