How do you find out what beers are distributed in your area and where?

That just does state by state distro. Otherwise, most brewery's websites should show distro maps.

In my experience, however, the easiest way to learn what is distributed in your area is to visit your liquor stores/bottle shops/etc.

Most states have a 'Beverage Journal'. Ask a retailer for an old copy and they'd be happy to give you one.

For me, gas is too expensive and time is too limited to drive around to all the beer stores if I am looking for something particular I've never seen before at any of the beer stores I currently frequent. I was hoping there may be an easier way

Most of my beer is purchased from one particular retailer who will order stuff for me if he doesn't have it in stock. He's always been quite helpful in finding out for me if a beer is distributed into the area and in tracking it down for me. So basically I just ask him.
