Beer in Omaha, NE

I'm gonna check out the Crooked Stave event at Brix West tomorrow for sure.

 

I'd also like get a glass of that Rye on Rye X by Boulevard. Looks like kegs at the Moon and Krug Park tomorrow

 

Firkin Fest is maybe the best event each year, wish I could go to that on Saturday. Will probably try to check out Beercade's Stone takeover and Farnam House's sour night. Maybe wander through Scriptown a time or two to try their cask stuff.

 

Reverb has one Thursday too I think.

 

And we will be crowlering off a 1/6th whenever we decide to do so

 

Wait - I'm going to be in town next week and it's Omaha Beer Week? Whoa - that is some seriously good beer karma on my part. I must have done something right. (and the Pipeworks and Three Floyds beer I'm bringing in doesn't hurt)

 

Tilquin Geuze was still on tap at the Moon/Max and Joe's as of around 9 or so last night.

 

Also stopped into Farnam House after closing Beertopia last night and Jeff hooked up a sample of some pâté he was working on to go with their sour extravaganza on Wednesday, and uh... I'd suggest going to Farnam House on Wednesday.

Any idea when Scratchtown Wonder Twins will show up this week?

Also looks like another big drop from Good Life incoming.

 

I'm sorry to be another one of "those guys" but I have family in town and for local bottles I've suggested Beertopia to stop by this week (I'm from the PNW). Already suggested anything Toppling Goliath (pseudo sue, light speed, etc.), but I have good access to a lot of the recent Evil Twin stuff that I saw a page or so back. Guessing BA prairie bomb and SMS are some others to watch for. Any advice would be helpful, thanks guys!

 

BA Prairie Bomb is probably all gone across the metro. Scratchtown Wonder Twins is probably the best IPA brewed in Nebraska in my opinion, and bombers are coming this week. There's been a lot of new Crooked Stave lately as well.

 

Does Beertopia get much Toppling Goliath? Will check into Wonder Twins. Have decent access to Crooked Stave in the Portland area. Thanks for the advice

 

Most stores at the moment in Omaha are out of Psuedosue, the Hyvees in Council Bluffs apparently just got more cans. As far as bombers of TG, those usually go pretty quick in CB, just got to get lucky and hope they drop a shipment of bombers when ur in town. Also, yes go to Beertopia, great store!

 

They posted on FB "shipping to Omaha tomorrow" (Tuesday. No clue if that means the distributor (House of Beers) will get it into some stores tomorrow, or throughout the week. Not sure on their typical dropoff schedule.

 

I'm guessing HOB will distro Wonder Twins on Friday but next Tuesday is always possibly (to us, places with a Wednesday delivery could get it tomorrow if HoB does their job quickly or a week after.

We (Beertopia) may have some BA BOMB if you stop by at 10AM on Wednesday

Should get a small amount of stuff from GLP (some Gigantic and I can't remember what else) either this Wednesday or Thursday and then our giant Shelton Brothers order next Monday

In unrelated news I guess TG is possibly bringing a "special release" to EBF, so that's cool. My money is on King Sue but either way pretty awesome.

 

I may have to swing by tomorrow and see what else is available in the Cellar Sale. I have a $100 gift card to burn

 

Looks like some miscommunication in the emails, guess TG status is up in air I am sad to say but EBF will be great regardless
