    It's back again --

We've decided to make Bludgeon Yer Eye a Spring release, this year. I feel like it's a great seasonal transition brew. Spring and Fall is when I enjoy this the most.

    Cheers!

Bludgeon Yer Eye is an India Black Ale. Intense fruity and floral aromas, along with a subtle malty fragrance, emits from the beer. The deep black color complements the rich, dark roasted malt flavors. The unexpected twist comes when the high hop bitterness takes over and leaves a bitter finish.

    6.2% ABV
    75 IBU

Is it out already? I saw a single on a shelf yesterday, but it may be left over from last fall. The store didn't have any new 6-packs on the shelf yet.

    [IMG] On Winning $20:

At Founders last night and I recognize Mr. Hopstache himself walk pass me and mention to my two non-BA friends that it was Joe Short over there. They're both huge fans of Short's and instantly say that there is no chance they're in the presence of the man himself. I reiterate that I'm not joking and still receive quite a bit of pushback. I up the ante and bet $20 and even pull up a google image to prove it is him. They still don't believe it. Finally, my friend walks over in the shyest way and kindly asked if it was him. I win $20. My non-BA friend then proclaims to Joe how this is much cooler then when Aziz Ansari bought him a drink on his birthday. .....

    Bludgeon your eye folks.

Yeah, I bet there's still some left over from the Fall. Still tasting just fine, I assure you.

Joe Shorts is an awesome guy and a true gentleman. 2 years ago on the way up north my dad and I stopped at Shorts on the way up skiing. Like 1:00 pm on a Wednesday, Shorts is pretty dead, we've had a few+ beers when I look over my dad's shoulder and notice Joe is working on his computer. Few minutes later I got up to say hey man I really love your beers thanks for your hard work. He very graciously says oh thanks so much and I go sit back down. Then my (now drunk and already hard of hearing) dad is like I want to say hi to Joe Shorts! He goes over and starts talking, I join, Joe put up with us asking all our questions and wanting to chit chat in the most friendly and gentlemanly way imaginable, all the while with my dad saying "what was that?" and needing things repeated. We probably talked about 15 minutes total.

If I didn't already love their beer this whole experience would have cemented my love of Shorts.

Plus on the way back down to GR we each filled a growler of Bourbon Wizard.

Also, Bludgeon your Eye is a great beer.

It sure took you long enough to compliment this beer. Nice story though.

I saw Campau Corner in Alto (GR area) has a case of this on the shelf still, as well as Cinnabilly.
