I'm staying at the Crowne Plaza LAX on Saturday. Never been to LA before. Are there any craft brew stores anywhere near there? I'd love to get some Bruery beer? I'll be in Bakersfield Friday night as well. Also, is Tart of Darkness a shelf beer or special release? Thanks all!!!!!

Whole Foods in El Segundo has a really large beer selection. There are 2 main areas, one main beer cooler, and one by the bbq/seafood area. They also have 24 taps of craft goodness!

I see Tart of Darkness often at Number One Liquor in Redondo Beach, which isn't too far from LAX. http://www.yelp.com/biz/number-one-liquor-mart-redondo-beach.

Beverage Warehouse also isn't that far and has a fairly good selection, though I don't really remember seeing many Bruery beers.

Both would require a car though.

Can be very overpriced but Imbibe in Bakersfield has some good options sometimes, including some kern river beers.

Citra is a brewery only release a couple times a year, and has turned into a complete shitshow. The kern river beers you may be able to find are just outstanding, class V and Isabella blonde (the latter of which is not good at all, IMO).

While your here at LAX you should check out El Segundo Brewing Co on Main St. A 5 minute drive from Crowne Plaza. And right across the street is Rock n Brews. And you can walk from your hotel to Four Points Sheraton and check out Brewstars. http://www.fourpointslax.com/brewsters-bar-near-lax.
