Just wondering if there are any good or interesting beer shows or podcasts out there?

The beer thirty show on dfz radio.com. they actually vaporize various hops for research purposes.. so yeah they vape hops and it's actually interesting. They have a brewery guest pretty much every episode. Archived episodes on their website.. if you live in southern California listening to this is a no brainer. Good ol' blue collar podcast.

I just did. Listened to the latest episode 210, which included a killer review of Fat Head's Hop Juju. Thanks.

BTW, I also regularly listen to the Brewing Network podcasts.

Brew Masters was a great show on Discovery that aired for one season back in 2010-2011 that featured Sam Caligione of Dogfish Head. I'd recommend watching it for sure (It's available for purchase online but probably could be streamed/downloaded for free(.

I like the Jamile show on The Brewing Network and the Beersmith podcasts - both homebrew shows

I enjoy BeerGeeks on Ora.TV. It's not super-detailed, but it's somewhat informative and reasonably entertaining. Seems to have found a balance between entertainment and information in what's essentially a "brewery crawl" format. If you are looking for guys sitting drinking beers or discussing the nuances of the brewing process, this isn't it. Michael Ferguson is the host.

I liked the old brewing tv with the original cast. Got a lot of good ideas and they were funny, thus making the learning fun!

Steal This Beer! It's a great podcast hosted by @augiecarton Features interviews with top brewers and journalists, and is chock full of beer & industry related news. They do blind tastings every show and have down to earth, light-hearted discussions.

I love Greg's Beer Reviews except he harps on the Bottle Dating in almost every video. Beer Geek Nation is too geeky, just watch his video with Sixpoint's Shane Welch and he just looks uncomfortable the whole time while interviewing Shane. Craft Beer Nation is pretty good, but for the most part I like Greg's Beer Reviews. I should also mention I do beer reviews and beertopgraphy on a site called County Line Beer Blog on Facebook and @ctylbeerblog in Instagram. Not a show or podcast, but it is on the internet so I guess it counts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm a fan of BeerGeeks as well - approachable enough that my wife will watch episodes with me, but with enough substance that beer folks won't get bored. Plus, that dude's laugh is too just damn infectious...

Any idea if the show is still happening? Haven't seen new episodes in a while.

There was just one on Harpoon so I had to call my friends there and ask for autographs now that they are podcast stars...I got the link from oraTV facbook oage, I think...have not gotten notifications in a while, though.

Yeah, I think that Harpoon episode, which is the most recent, is pretty old though - 6 months to a year, maybe? Haven't seen or heard any updates, so I was just curious. Like I said, it's one of the few beer shows my wife and I can enjoy together, so I'm chomping at the bit for its return.

I was wondering why they are not during a 4th season, same with Best Bars of America. I think the BrewDogs are too busy getting their American brewery up and running.

I enjoy watching Beer TV. They review craft beers and pair them with food while teaching you about beer. Definitely entertaining and they have their own site which contains articles and cool news about the craft beer community.

I'm looking for something interesting and/or informative to listen to during long car rides (when my favorite Bruce Springsteen podcast gets old).

What I don't want: Boring DJs who don't know how to create good radio, or leave lots of long, awkward pauses; tastings, because tasting videos are boring enough, never mind skipping the video part, and I'd rather taste beer myself than have somebody else do it; homebrewing, because I don't, and it's all gibberish.

What I do want: Good DJs who are foremost entertaining to listen to, and hopefully informative as well; history, culture, styles, news, or anything else that will help expand my mind and interest about beer; any of the above criteria if they talk about wine, whiskey, alcohol culture in general.

    Thanks in advance!

Fair warning: This one is a real radio program that is focused on the local MN Twin Cities, has a bit of an infomercial feel (and not just for the brewers, but also for the retail store that is one of the sponsors), and is almost 100% positive commentary regarding whatever brewer or topic is the focus of the program. I will scan the summaries, and if a brewer I am interested in is being interviewed, I'll play the podcast. I never catch the live radio program.

    The Beer Show

Podcasts have been exploding in popularity recently, and it got me thinking are there any good beer related "Beer Talk-esque" podcasts out currently? Think it would be a great idea for like home brewing tips or just dudes talking/reviewing beer and cracking jokes and cold ones.

There are so many out there but so few I like. It just seems like any old schmoe throws his hat into the ring and creates a beer podcast.

I'll second Good Beer Hunting. And even if you're not into homebrewing, you might still find the various Brewing Network podcasts worthwhile (I'm not a homebrewer, and these are my favorite).
