Will be driving down the 40 and through Wilmington headed to Cherry Grove. Would love to go to Cape Fear, but don't think they open until later on Saturdays. We will be going through around 11 am. Had a hard time finding their hours on the website.

Looking to pick up some Bells Two Hearted and any other great IPA's that we don't get in NY. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Bottle shops, Lowes??

Also, is Old Hickory available in the area? Would love to get some Death by Hops.

Lighthouse Beer & Wine in Wilmington would be a good place to check out. Although, if you're only looking for two hearted ale , that can be found in grocery stores here.

Modus Hoperandi is available near Cherry Grove beach as well...picked up some in Lowes at Ocean Isle Beach last month.

Thanks Lighthouse looks like a good detour for us. Have a few hours to kill before our condo check in time anyway. Is there a Beer Garden there too? Saw it in some of the reviews.

Also, for the Bells Two Hearted, would it be cheaper at the grocery store (want to get a case to take home) and what would be on our route to Cherry Grove.

Thanks. We did find that on our trip last year. Trying to avoid having to go all the way in to MB to the Pig for good beer. So we are looking for other sources. Will check out Lowes.

Whole foods in Wilmington has two hearted and death by hops on the shelf. Cape fear wine and beer opens at 1:00 I believe.

Just to follow up an say Thank You for sending us in the right direction. We stopped at both Lighthouse and Whole foods on our way through the Wilmington area, and could not have been happier. Lighthouse had a great selection, with several NC beers we were happy to get. French Broad and Olde Hickory, and Duck Rabbit. We also got a case of the Bell's there, and we got the Stone 16th Anniversary, that we were unable to get at home. We then headed over to Whole Foods, and got a case of the Death by Hops, and a six of Hoppy Bunny.

Thanks again to our fellow BA's.
