That's right folks! I'd like to host a beer tasting at my house on Saturday April 13th. Why that day? Several reasons: the 11th is my birthday, I need to clear out a serious portion of my cellar since I use it to temp-control fermenting homebrew, and frankly I have a lot of 750ml/22oz bomber beers that I don't want to drink the entire thing in one sitting, so I'd rather share them mainly amongst folks that would appreciate them for what they are. Also kind of picked that Saturday so it will not interfere with Houston beer tastings that happen on Sundays.

Really hope you guys can make it. I'm located out in Rosenberg, TX. BM me for address/directions (exact time TBD). While I said it's my house, it is really my parents house, so please don't bring any cigars/cigarettes/illegal drugs/prostitutes/or try to murder anyone (especially me) with an ice pick. You do not need to bring any beers, but may if you would like to, as I likely have more than enough and a decent variety to satiate most palettes. I will post a comprehensive list of all the beers I'm looking to open at this event in a little bit. Please feel free to voice any comments, concerns, and direct all criticism to a trashbin. Cheers!

Yeah. Sometimes I wish TX wasn't so spread out. I'm gonna get working on that beer list right now.

I think that ought to be barely enough for 3 people right? But yeah, I'll be trying to convince a few friends to make the drive out. It'll sure as hell be worth it if you love beer.

If you have a question about the beers or want to bring something, shoot me a BM and I'll get things updated.

Nope. But it would be nice if you guys could bring something to grill. I have one of them tiny 18.5" charcoal-Weber grills. It has seen better days, but damned if I haven't made some of the tastiest food on that grill.

Clonies needs to move to ATX, immediately.

That's a damn fine amount of generosity right there. And some fine beers.

Dang Clonies, this is mighty nice of you. My Goddaughter is getting baptized on the 13th, but I will see when we will be finished.

    Sounds good. Let me know.

I'd like to add to the official list:

    - 2012 Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti

It's just 3 days past 1 yr old so if anyone has a fresh one to compare, I'd really love to see how this beer changed.

Hoping I can make it out to this. Trying to convince the Fiance to drive me so I can fully enjoy the awesome generosity that Clonies has offered up.

Sorry Clonies, not going to be able to make it. Apparently this baptism is going to be an all day event with dinner and a party.:slight_frown:

Yeah I posted on another thread, but I'm canceling this due to lack of interest. Another BA brought up some great points. I'd rather get some face time in with a few of you before letting you know where I actually live

I will be at the Nobi bottle share on Sunday though, and bringing most, if not all the original bottles on the list. Might even bring a surprise or too.

I'll also be attending the April 28th bottle share. So if you're going to either of those, see you there!

Do this shit on a Sunday or Monday and I might actually make it (as long as it doesn't conflict with the Austin BA bottle share). I work in the service industry, so Saturdays are a no-go.
