I have some pretty rare beers in my cellar, but the one that gives me the hardest time is one of the least rare beers I got. Any pre-2010 BCBS beer itches my brain to go grab one. What beer itches you right now?

If it itches, I drink it. No sense having it if you dont intend to drink it.

Thank God my cellar still includes all of the above fine beers. It's because I'm fightin' that itch gueuzedreg!
    I'm fightin' it!!!
Recently I've been dipping into the 2010 Oak Aged Yeti's. I've got to cut that shit out.

Yeti is the itch releaser. I agree... but then we are just throwing back $20+ (two of them a night) pretty expensive. There has to be an answer! What is my readily available imperial stout for cheap? Oh thats right, there is none

They are doing bombers of Santa's Little Helper for 5 bucks down the road from my work. So I'm covered. You have regular access to TenFidy, no?

I did a vertical tasting recently and my group, including me, didn't think it aged very well

It's so hard to not touch beers that are good and (relatively) cheap that come in 12-oz format ... Examples -Ten Fidy, Adam, BCBS, etc.

Raul Mondesi agrees with you. I should do some research if I can find that one.

My singular bottle of Founders CBS. Somehow, knowing that there will be more Bourbon County (and variants), more KBS, more Bigfoot... it makes it easier to leave some be. CBS isn't going to be bottled again, so it feels like I better have a damned good reason to open it.

I know, I should really just watch the last five minutes of "Sideways" over and over...

I have the same thing; the only thing I worry about is the maple taste going away

For me it's the 2010 Mephistopheles Stout single bottle I have. I don't know why I have to resist drinking that one, especially since it's the beer with by far the longest shelf life in my cellar. I also have a fair number of other Imperial stouts (Yeti, Schlafly's, Stone, etc.) which I figure I should probably drink within 3-4 years of bottling but I never get as much of a MUST HAVE hankering for those.

None. Once it's in the basement I have to remind my self to drink it. Stuff in the fridge calls to me though.

If I could manage a whole bottle myself this would never make it to the basement
