That Gordon Finest Gold 24 is in fact a strong lager at 10 vol% !! Possibly the strongest Belgian lager ever made !

First thing I thought when I clicked on the thread was, "One of them HAS to be called Goldlager." I'm disappointed. :(

I add gold flakes to all of my beers. Also, the tears of the poor.

Those are a wee bit expensive for a gimmick! Wow.

    Cheers!

Drank a bunch of Goldschlagger when I was young and puked it back up. The flakes had turned black. I thought gold was supposed to be non-reactive.

Holy creeps.. You could be right here. 10vol% and indeed also bottom fermented.
But.... is that beer actually brewed in Belgium or in The Netherlands ??

Yes! I knew it was going to happen! Search for my handle

Surely this will pick up speed and become the bandwagon style of 2012... at which time I will owe the Department of Internet Money a call.

At first I thought you were describing my morning routine. Then I realized you had written "Beer with Gold Flakes" rather than "Beer with Corn Flakes."

Your name wouldn't happen to be Tywin Lannister, by any chance, would it?
