Beer Works Bunker Hill Bluebeery label change/availability?

    Hey guys I was just up in Boston for a week, and it happens that my wife is a huge fan of this particular blueberry beer. Well, long story short we didn't get any during the week and started looking for it on Sunday, not knowing they couldn't sell to-go from the brewpub on Sundays. So we started searching it out in cans at liquor stores. I called a few and the guys at Julio's liquors told me that the beer is currently going through a label change, so there was none available. He said that they only so far released the watermelon and that if I did find any canned bluebeery it would be old. With that said does anyone know when this will come back out in cans? I might have to set up trade or grab some next trip, gotta keep the wife happy and it was a letdown not being able to bring some home with us.

    I don't know the answer to your question unfortunately, but a heads up on an easily available alternative is Wachusetts Blueberry which you can get in 12 pack cans for about $15 all over MA.

    It's been a while since i've had either of them (and i've only had the beer works on draft with the fresh blueberries added) so i cant offer a direct comparison, but if your wife likes blueberry beers i'd be surprised if she didnt find the wachusett at least reasonably good. They're a really solid brewery in general.

    Tried that, everywhere had it...she wants the beer works. We'll probably just grab some next trip.

    I wasn't aware this was ever in cans, but remember seeing bottles of it at a few Kappy's locations. Has your wife tried Bar Harbor Blueberry?

    Yeah she has tried all of the normal ones we can get, but there is a special place in her heart for beer works. Something to do with her attending college in Boston and reminiscence.
