Instead of merely talking about it, it looks like Mr. Kemp is prophesizing or evangelizing about beer in this pic.

And like just about every BA magazine cover photo, it is intriguing. I don't subscribe to the mag, but I look forward to seeing a new cover photo on the website each month!

Agreed. We had several cover options, but Jason and I were immediately drawn to this one. It's modern prophetic.

Also, you can now get a free trial of the print version: http://beeradvocate.com/mag/trial ... that way you can look forward to more than just the cover.

I can't wait. Got a subscription for Father's Day, and have been waiting for my first issue ever since!

When do you think I can be expecting it? I live in the metro-Boston area.

Holiday this week, but it also got processed on time. I received my pre-copies already, which is a good sign.

Is he holding an imaginary beer in his hand? Got #77 and it was as good as all the rest. Once we see the cover the anticipation is just too hard to take. Thanks for an AWESOME magazine Todd.

@LMT - Dude what are you waiting for this is a GREAT magazine!

I just signed up for the trial subscription and see how it goes from there. I haven't subscribed to a print magazine in awhile...just not something I'm used to doing anymore.

I really enjoyed reading "Last Call" with John Kimmich. I fall into the large category of people that cannot get Heady Topper everyday and have to rely on random 4pk shippments from a wonderful friend. It's exciting to see his drive to make the already "World Class" DIPA even better than what we already love. I look forward to trying the other beers he has up his sleeve.

Glad you enjoyed New Glarus Edel Pils (in the reviews section). You hint at a trip to Wisconsin to visit NG and Dan Carey. Any set plans for this? I think you'd enjoy the trip, they have a gorgeous facility with great beers. Dan is especially good with traditional German styles which I know you've enjoyed in the past. You can extend the trip to include stops in nearby Madison (Ale Asylum, Vintage, Great Dane, Capitol, and especially Tyranena in nearby Lake Mills). I'd love to read about this trip so hopefully it will happen at some point. Keep up the great work on the site and the magazine!

Don't have the magazine in front of me and sorry for not posting this when I did...but in the "9 Steps to Beerdom by Paul McMorrow: Scott Vaccaro, founder and head brewer, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company" there is an error where it says Scott left brewing to pursue brewing. It's on the first page of the article maybe third or 4th paragraph.

Good catch - it would indeed be tricky to "[ditch] brewing for a place he could surround himself with beer." I'd like to say we leave one of those in every time to bait potential proofreaders, but we just missed this one. Thanks for keeping us on our toes!

Just read this issue cover to cover,my first one as a new subscriber. Hats off to the entire publication from articles,layout/design and the ads, they are all top notch, very well done. I have been in the printing/publishing business for over 25 years and this is an outstanding publication to my eyes. The "Last Call" article was just the cherry on the top for me. I was also born and raised on Iron City beer as Mr. Kimmich was, what a great way to end the reading of my first issue of BA! I would highly recommend anyone to try a subscription, well worth it! Please keep up the good work!

Well, Mr. Kemp would be pleased that you said that, because the figure to whom you're referring is Aristotle, painted by Raphael, in the Stanza della Segnatura, right outside the Sistine Chapel. Cheers!
