Beers in Kalamazoo not avail in Chicago?

    My brother's band will be playing at Bell's Brewery this Friday night and I want to see if he can pick me up some local MI beer. Does Bell's have anything "to go" that you wouldnt be able to find in IL? What other smaller MI breweries will he be able to find in the area? What store should I send him to? Thanks for any info...

    The Bells General Store has 750ml's available for sale, I think they just have Harvest Ale and Golden Rye right now, haven't checked in a few days. Dark Horse and Shorts are good Michigan breweries I don't think you can get in IL.

    We do get Dark Horse but I'm not sure if we get their entire lineup or not. What is good from Shorts? Im usually an IPA/Porter/Stout guy but really if they make a particular style well I will enjoy it.

    Not sure if Brewer Vivant has hit Chicago yet. Zasion and Big Red Coq are worth checking out. Saugatuck has some decent beers worth checking out. Check out The Curl from Short's, rather tasty beer.

    Stop by The Livery and/or Greenbush on the way up and/or down.
