All the raspberry sours. They belong to me........
No such thing as so good I won't trade them... but there is such thing as so RARE I won't trade them.
I don't care how good you think a beer is, if someone offers you a Dave for it and you're a trader, guess what? You're trading it.
Oh they trade it, it just takes arms and legs...
Bourbon Barrel 1/2 Shark-Alligator 1/2 Man.
Another vote for Black Raspberry Lambic.
Most of my favorite beers are pretty well available, things like Expedition Stout and Adam and whatever. I'm happy to send them as extras to trading partners who don't have access. Moreover, I'm always happy to receive them in trades, since the nearest Adam is a state away and the nearest Expedition is a lot further than that.
Hunahpu's. won't trade them. only trade for them.
Kate the Great.
How have I not heard of this beer?!?!
I really read this thread as asking this: what beers have the proper combination of how much you like them and how difficult they are to obtain (for you) such that, when viewed through the lens of what they might typically fetch in a trade, you don't expect to ever trade them?
You'd be pretty hard pressed to get me to give up any more Beatification.
Black Elvis brewing company
I'm a BA stout whore. Won't trade my vanilla or rare, any more of my BAGBS, or Menagerie 5. Also, i won't trade BB4D but I've been known to extra it to people who have it listed as a top want- it's way too f*n good not to share.
Even with how wide distribution was on regular BCS this year, I still have a hard time letting it go. I'd drink it every day if possible.
I find it really hard to give up any of my favorite beer, The Abyss
How about too rare to drink? You've got one of something, and you know you're never going to get it again...ever.
And it's not just you - there are damn few of (whatever) left in the world. How hard is it for you to crack that bottle?
If I am lucky enough to get my hands on a Vanilla Bean Dark Lord again, rigor mortis will have to set in for someone else to have a chance at it.
Almost everything else I have had or owned has had a chance of being traded. (BCBVS is close. I have a few other one off's - for me - I wouldn't trade...like Batch 1 120 min...)
Southampton Black Raspberry Lambic/Peconic County Reserve
I can't speak for others, but personally, if I've never had it (reviewed it), then its getting opened.
50/50 Elijah Craig 20 year
Hill Farmstead IPAs and IIPAs
Don't fetch much so they're comparatively waaaaay too tasty to trade!
Brute! I love that beer.
Most of Lawson's IPS'a, I send a few, but Dayum they are tasty.
Central Waters 15. I just got my allotment, and they arent going anywhere..
I have a few that seem to be "epoxied" to the shelf in my cellar. They will not be traded unless my biggest want comes out to play. It seems a bit of a struggle to open them too. Once theyre gone, theyre gone.
Lawsons Maple Tripple stays put in my cellar. After trying the 3 year vertical at last years Anniversary party and spending most of my tickets on the 09', I know its worth saving and enjoying with friends. I also won't trade BCBS, unless I'm looking to help out someone who has never had it.
Was limit 1/person, released once, and if the "likes" are any indicator, nobody traded it haha
I don't trade Fou Foune. It's just too damn tasty.
I dont think there is a beer that I wouldnt not trade...especially if I have had it before. There is one beer that I do try and constantly get, and that is Parabola. I could drink that beer all day, and considering its availability, I practically can.
When I got four bottles of 2012 MoaS, I was planning on drinking one, aging one, and trading two; but after drinking that first one, the plan changed to drinking them all.
I don't typically trade something unless I've had it at least once, or I can get it locally again (I've bought plenty of local beers for people that requested it that I haven't had because I have no interest in drinking red ales or scotch ales).
Besides that, I have a few that are very sentimental that certain people have laid claim to that I am saving, otherwise I'll trade most of what I have to try something different.
I can't get it, so I have to trade for it, so I'd have to say I wouldn't retrade a KBS. Basically those go from box to gut real quick.
i feel the same way!
Not local, and I do like to share my beers, but Abrasive and HT are all mine.
If only I had some friends with bottles so I could try this sweet nectar I've heard so much about...
After just getting back from the CW Anny party with my group, I could see myself being pretty stingy with this years BBBW, the Peruvian Morning and def the Fifteen... all phenominal beers!
