Westy 12 met my expectations. The hype was so high, which would lead be to believe it would taste like liquid of the gods. But being a skeptic, I figured I would most likely be very disappointed. Both of those things balanced each other out, and I thought it was a great Belgian quad. One of the best that I've tried actually, so I would say it met my expectations.

most of the regular GI line up. We just recently started getting them in my area. I never had any reason not to like them, I just didn't think they'd be that special either.. So far i've had 312 urban wheat, Honker's ale, Matilda, and Sophie. I've really liked them all quite a bit! Thanks AB/Inbev for bringing these beers into my distro area!!

Honestly, I have been reading on BA for awhile about how awesome Sucks is... I am a big fan of Lagunitas so of course I was ready to try and buy it when it came in. I did, and it Sucks awesomely  The nose on this beer is incredible! I didnt want to drink it, just smell it!

Edit: I drank the crap out of it, and it was equally as amazing!

I had the same experience with BB Aged Winter Warmer from Rahr. Just wow. Good year for beer so far!

I'm from Grand Rapids and had my first Backwoods Bastard this year the first day it came out. I can't believe I never had this beer. Definitely one of Founders best. Blew my expectations out of the water. I walked out with a case after that glass.

    I second that emotion.

The Epic saison was a very pleasant surprise as I didn't have high expectations.

Brown Shugga. I thought it'd be good, but I miss it already. I was only able to grab one six pack of it. I believe it ended up in my top 15 rated overall.

Pliny is one of those extremely well balances DIPA's that seem "very nice and dandy" when you drink it, but when you continue to have other IPA's you will start to miss the complex pallet that Pliny provided. It's a very rare beer. That's what makes it so special.
