    Tyranena Scurvy is delicious. Maybe the best IPA from Wisconsin.

    I watched this one and can't believe what they did. It looked really good after the "makeover". I would be surprised if it succeeded except for the Bar Rescue publicity that might extend its life.

    Granted, you mentioned that it is your opinion but really? "Piraat....was pretty terrible?" I just had a bottle tonight that I had cellared for more than 2 years and I looked back at my rating of 4.55....I would not change a thing! The label mentions that it is "A Tripel by Strength but in IPA by history" so I guess that it is considered a Tripel IPA. To me it it more of a straight "Tripel" and it is excellent. Great sweet malt, the welcome burn of alcohol. I think that it is really great....just my opinion.

    I would try this...FINALLY something other than Bourbon barrel aging, nothing wrong w/that but damn, beat it in to the ground some more why don't ya.o_O

    The barrels used started as Jack Daniels barrels in 1982, then we're shipped to Appleton Estate to age rum for 23 years.

    Mission Shipwreck DIPA has a skull with an eyepatch on the label
    The is a Blackbeard Ale from the Virgin Islands

    This is due in mid-march. Prairie does have a distro deal with Shelton Brothers and I know a bunch of their stuff just went to the Boston area.

    Heavy Seas beers are all pretty much pirate themed. And their Loose cannon is great.

    BrewDog's Old World IPA has a pirate ship on it's label.
    Don De Dieu has a cool ship on it.
