I went on a binge buying bombers this week with birthday money, Most of these I just haven't gotten around to yet. The ones in bold are real ones I'm waiting for the right moment to crack open. The rest I'm just going to open when I want that style of beer. I can't believe how much I bought that I haven't tried yet, looks like I should stop buying and start drinking. This week was a treat with my first Parabola and Big John among others

I just got a thought. I'm not Catholic but I know you have to give up something you like. Can you just give up one style of beer?

samiclaus. it's the only beer I'm aging. I'm frankly kinda scared of it. I've heard very odd reviews concerning how sweet and pruny it is. I hope it's worth the long wait. I don't intend to try it until it's at least 6 years old.

Giving up all of these? Either you have monsterous will power, are gravely ill, crazy or have converted to a weird religion. But good luck to you. I hope you attain your goal. Me, I set easily attainable goals; that's why I only gave up beer for 10 days. I got a great feeling of accomplishment.

About half of the beers I have I haven't tried yet. I have the bad habit of buying &trading faster than I drink them.

But a few I'm saving for special occasions: Hommage, Millennium Geuze, Jean Chris Nomad, Blabaer, Crianza Helena.

I'm hoping to save Millennium Geuze for my hypothetical wedding day, but with how bad I am with commitment, I'll probably never get married and end up drinking it with friends on my 50th birthday instead.
