I've been out of the beer drinking loop for about 2 years. I like the Belgian beers like Chimay and Dubbel. I would like to try something new in this style. What would be a good New Years Begian to try tonight?

Just kidding...Some that I like and are usually available in a lot of places:

    Saison Dupont
    La Chouffe

Those are lighter, but also try Achel Dark or Rochefort 8 or 10. I'm sure you'll enjoy those. Happy drinking!

Depends what style you like dubbels, tripels quads, etc? Lots of.good.choices from allagash, unibroue, and ommegang. Sometimes you can find a sampler pack of ommegang or.of generic Belgians which can be nice

I've never tried that style. I'm about to head to Spec's to pick up a few of these. Thanks for the recommendations everyone.

For Trappist beer I recommend the following (in no particular order)...
    St. Bernardus ABT 12
    Rochefort 10
    Westmalle Tripel
    Westvleteren 12

    Some other good choices...
    Rodenbach Grand Cru
    Rodenbach Vintage 2010

Personally I'll be drinking a bottle of Rodenbach Vintage 2010 tonight
