when does this beer release? Can anyone please give me info on this beer.

I had this beer recently and am simply in love with it. If you haven't had it, please seek it!

    Cheers!

Its normally a beer that is available year around. This year in the midwest we had a bad drought and it affected the cherry crop significantly. Thats why new glarus made serendipity instead of belgian red. If you are seeking more of the belgian red send me a beer mail. I might be able to help you out.

It is supposed to be back this fall, assuming the cherry crop isn't ruined again.

i was at NG recently, and as of now, it's only available in their gift sets (BR, RT and 2 flutes) at the brewery, unless old stock is sitting at stores. Like roostor7 said, it's supposed to be back in late fall, but is completely dependent on the WI cherry crop, as they will only use Door County cherries. It really is an incredible beer, although I like Serendipity a tiny bit more.

Last one that I saw was in a retail store around Christmas, it was $25 and included a Red, a Tart, and 2 champagne glasses. Probably a brewery only item these days.

NG Wisconsin Belgian Red is around. No worries on its "freshness" either...it doesn't go bad.

That's too bad about the cherry harvest; I was interested in that one. Would you guys say that most other NG fruit beers would go $4$ for shelf locals from another region?

That's great to know- thanks. I don't see myself doing another trade for a month or so, but it's good to know these type of things ahead of time.

Yeah, well, that's just like, your opinion, man.

Both are great, but I much prefer the Cherry and the Raspberry to Serendipity. Can't go wrong in getting all three!

Just had one a week ago. Amazing how much better it is now than when it came out. I suppose I could toss one in the next box I send to you...

IMO, and in the opinion of several other BA's I often drink with, this is not a beer you want to age too long. The first Enigma I had was aged over a year (possibly two), and it was one of the most bizarre beers I ever tasted. The upfront taste was similar to what it is fresh, but then it transitioned into something that tasted strongly of cough syrup with a hint of vanilla. It was so awful that I almost didn't buy any of this past release. Fortunately I remedied that mistake a few weeks ago.

Well, the one I'm referring to is the past release that was purchased in October. So it had aged about 6 months, and myself, along with a friend shared the bottle with, both agreed that this beer was so much better now than last fall that we were kicking ourselves for not having a case ready to drink right now. It was the furthest thing from cough syrup imaginable! Maybe two years is too much for this beer, which seems odd but certainly could be the case. Either way, I don't expect it to be an issue since there is no way I'll be able to know I have them and not drink them. Glad you were able to get some of this release though.

When it first came out I thought it was quite good, but certainly not something I would think was an Oud Bruin like it was advertised as. It tasted similar to Belgian Red and had a decent amount of sweetness, heavy cherry, and with no oak (at least as far I can remember). I remember being a bit let down that it seemed so similar, but really how can you get mad that something tastes similar to an amazing beer like BR. Now that sweetness is all but gone, and replaced by a fairly high level of tart that you'd expect from an Oud Bruin and finishes with a strong oak flavor. Cherry is still there, but not as in your face as it was when it was fresh. I actually poured it blind for my friend who is very familiar with New Glarus fruits and sours and got "I know this is New Glarus because their funk is unmistakable, but I've never had this beer and it's amazing".
