As far as I can tell Bell's hasn't even applied for a keg or bottle label for 2015/2016 Black Note yet. Therefore, it is at least a month or two out out at a minimum (if it even comes based on other recent posts).

I wouldn't hold my breath, heard some bad news from a brewer at bell's....should see BA expo atleast. Hope that next year's batch turns out better.

Lol at this same old bit. Same rumor last year-"they need it to sit in barrels longer because it didn't come out right"

    Child please.

No word on bottle size, but it may get labeled batch 15k since they just hit that mark. To bad the BA cream stout didn't make it...looked forward to this for far too long!

"Now this could totally be one of those "My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious." Sort of things, but I've heard from 2 different people that heard from 2 different brewers there was a problem with the latest batch of Black Note. A bunch of it had to be scrapped and what did survive will be at the tap room under a different name since it wasn't up to Black Note standards."

I think you are getting this mixed up with Dark Horse, they always have batches for 4 Elf that don't turn out right.

Word on the street is that some was bottled but not for the general public, just gifts for select reps/accounts or whatever. So while some pics/posts of bottles might pop up, it won't be a sign to get excited for it (kind of like last year when Founders gave bottles of CBS to employees but didn't sell any).

I heard that there was going to be a 9 piece series about black note. One piece will be released once a week and then on the last week they will released the bottles. The bottles will also now be 500ml

You forgot the part of the bottles costing $80 and the hype machine kicking in a full 9 months before the release to a ticketed event (limit: 1 bottle; tickets $250) where they require 17 forms of ID, your social security number, a full-cavity search, fingerprints, and a retina scan to enter. And if your +1's hair color is a different shade of brown than what's reflected on his or her 9-year-old passport, they're banned from buying a bottle for a decade.

I don't think anyone ever really hears (that they can mention on here at least). One day it will just appear in liquor stores, no warning at all.

First thought would be at MI Brewers Guild Winter Festival. However, the last few guild festivals, Bell's hasn't brought anything crazy like this. Mostly they have been pushing their sours, which Raspberry Wild One was fantastic. I'd love to a whiskey 30th though as the TC whiskey barrels really pushed the porter over the top.

Funvitational may have been best beer fest I've been to. The stuff they brought there was amazing.Don't remember anything too crazy at summer guild fest. I do remember grabbing two pours of raspberry wild one and I think a pour of tc barrel aged porter.
Can't remember much of the lineup last winter guild fest. Remember not caring for honey hearted though. You are right though, usually they bring a nice variety to winter. Get a pass on last summer because their fest was just two months later.

I think the highlight of WBF last year though was Dragontrax and the other variants. I hung around the Witch's Hat booth for awhile. It's a shame b2 was such a hot mess...fingers crossedon b3.

Is that the one they had at Detroit Beer Fest? I tried that and thought it was downright awful. Flavors just a mess, thin mouthfeel, didn't understand the hype at all.

I concur. The boredom/anticipation has steered this thread off the road into a chasm of irrelevance. I feel a great disturbance in the BNSS!
