I see that it's on tap, any thoughts, reviews, anything?

...Seemed a bit overrun by the barrel at Maduro in Madison.

I actually enjoyed the Amber version more.. as it had a more gentle barrel presence, lacked that brash ABV/Spirit splash from the Brown version (that it just seem like that beer could support)

The first word that came to mind when I tasted it at Maduro was 'subtle.'

Bourbon is there, but it seemed a bit thin for my taste.

    Damn that's some heavy alliteration.

Probably...the OP is speaking for the BB Best Brown that has been on tap at Bells in Kalamazoo for the last month or so

It is pretty much what you would expect. The bourbon is rather subtle, balances appropriately with the base beer. I enjoyed it, would drink it again but I do not think it improves upon Best Brown. I will also say that I enjoyed the -bal Amber a bit more.
    Avoid alliteration, always.
