Eat your collective hearts out. As if there was any doubt that the buy out would result in a very Voodoo Ranger-esque line of “Hearted” variations.
[IMG]From the social media post, it looks like this is Eccentric Store exclusive. In addition, “Hazy Hearted” is the one of the new varieties just marked “New!”, so I assume we can expect to see that one make distribution. Cheers.

Oh no... Doesn't look like they are ripping off Sierra Nevada's Little Thing series at all....

Yeah, the new marketing gimmick from the larger distributing breweries are extension branding:
    • New Belgium: Voodoo beers.
    • Sierra Nevada: Little Thing beers with the 'oxymoron' of that branding being Big Little Thing (seriously, how can it be Big and Little at the same time!?!).
    • Now Bell's with this Hearted stuff
And lets not forget the extension branding of Bud Light were a specific Bud Light product doesn't even have to be a beer: Bud Light Seltzer, Bud Light Ritas, Bud Light Peels,...

How do these Marketing & Sales people think of this stuff?

    Cheers!

Every brewery of that size's marketing strategy seems to involve copying what every other brewery of the same size is doing. I went looking for a legitimate variety pack last week (at literally one of the largest liquor stores in the world no less), and it was wall-to wall packs of nothing but IPA's from all the usual suspects.

    Innovative.

I just looked at the beer list of a local brew-pub. They named their IPA "Obligatory." Now THAT's innovative.

I do get the redundancy, but at least they built off of a World-Class base beer. Not anything wrong with New Belgium's Voodoo or Sierra Nevada's Little Thing series. These "Newer-Hearted" beers may be complete busts, but they are at least built on a solid beer foundation in Two-Hearted.

Did you see the new Hoppy Sampler Pack from Sierra Nevada which includes the new beer Cryo Fresh Torpedo:

    “Wet Hop IPA

    Cryo Fresh Torpedo

The first nationally available IPA to use Cryo Fresh™ hops for that just-picked, powerhouse flavor. Exclusively in the Hoppy Sampler pack.”

LOL, honestly I wouldn't have noticed even if I saw it. After passing similar offerings from Great Divide, Sweetwater, New Belgium, Oskar Blues (+ a second from Canarchy), Firestone Walker, Ska, Odell, Melvin, Stone, Alaskan, Toppling Goliath, and more I became desensitized to the concept. Most of those don't even offer another type of variety pack, either. God bless the few that do. If I wanted 12 IPA's, I'd just buy 2 six-packs. I want a variety pack.

I really enjoyed the Black Hearted and Cold Hearted. I would buy these on their own. This new set does not look too interesting.

    Enjoy
