Best and Worst Named Beers

    I'm confused who banned it the brewery? I hardly think the criminals selling illegal drugs trademarked the name.

    It's a pretty commonly accepted name for smoking bong tokes of marijuana upon rising in the morning. If you asked a random person on the street they would tell you the same thing. I'm not sure who banned it, but I believe the Lagunitas "Censored" Ale was named that because of a similar issue over promoting the use of hemp nugs.

    Best: Butternuts Porkslap (unfortunately the beer was awful - like it had passed through Rosie O'Donnell at some point in the brewing process)
    Worst: I can't argue with Fisted Anus - if there's one worse than that, I don't want to hear it.

    Best: I've always been partial to Moo Thunder, but I think the can helps considerably.

    Are Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, St. Bernardus Abt. 12, and Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout bad names too?

    I think pretty much anything by Stone or Lagunitas can be on the best list, but here are some of my favorites, each for different reasons:

    Arrogant Bastard
    Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale (and the Sublimely Self Conscious Ale)
    Delirium Tremens
    Old Rasputin
    Pliny the Elder
    Lost Abbey Judgement Day
    Lagunitas Undercover Investigation Shutdown Ale
    Lil B
    Sante Adairius' The Adjunct Professor (haven't had it, but I heard about it from a friend)

    Other than that I'm still confused whether Velvet Merkin deserves to be on the "best" or "worst" side of this list.

    Thank you for asking, Danny1217, I don't believe those ones are bad names especially not Samuel Smith's due to the fact that all Samuel Smith's are just named after there style. Sierra Nevada isn't really that original with there names either.

    I've always been partial to Sierra Nevada Celebration. It's simple, but just saying the name makes you very happy.

    I think Bourbon County Brand Stout says it all. Celebration. Black Chocolate Stout. High Tide is awesome. I like how Troegenator incorporates the brewery name. So many great ones.

    Bad? Hop 15 may be my favorite IPA bit it is a stupid name.
