Old Raspy or Bigfoot. Or New Glarus Moon Man
Well, there was this chick I met at a craps table, couple years back in Vegas(off strip),anyway, she was so.......Wait! Fuck! You mean beer don't you?
Sorry, had to be the first to jump on this. Pun intended!
The best bang for your buck that doesn't end with a 6 pack is wrong. If you're worried about getting the most amount of beer for $6 or whatever the answer is a <insert your favorite 6 pack>. That isn't even up for debate. If you're question is, the best beer that the brewery spends a shit ton of money on ingredients and time (including man hours on) the answer is Stone IRS. /thread
You took the words right out of my mouth.
It's selling regularly in Mpls for $4.99, which in my mind is the best consistent value I've seen yet
Just a real solid beer that is never disappointing!
Oh, I forgot...last week I picked up a 12 pack of SN Celebration = $11.99 (score!)
I should've bought 2 and left one at the get together for Xmas.
I just wasn't thinking straight after paying $20.99 for a 4 pack of GI BCBS (but it's so good!)
Now that its finally out again, Lagunitas Sucks.
For me it's ballast point victory at sea. Delicious, relatively inexpensive, and quite intoxicating
For the alcohol content and price, im a huge fan of caldera ipa! Especially the hoppy sensation it brings!
Rather then name anything, as I would have a laundry list. I'm going to say any good craft brewer worth their salt who keeps their SIXERS @ $8.99 or less. I realize that the coasts are higher priced areas and I'm leaving out fours & really that's the rub of a four for me( I buy 'em for sure!) they should be sixers. As far as bang for my buck in a quick, strapped for cash situation Genesee Cream Ale six of tall boys for $3.99 works as does anything from Yuengling.
I would have to go with HeadyTopper also, @ $3.cc a 16oz can. This beer is pretty damn cheap for the best DIPA money can buy!
Torpedo is a good call, but it's not a double.
Pyramid Outburst.. 8.0% ABV and only $2.44 for a 22 oz bottle
Dude, I paid $10 and still consider this a value.
Still have 6 and feel like I should buy more
ABV/$ matters... I don't see why anyone would claim it doesn't. FBS for Imperial Stouts, Torpedo for IPA, but I'm not sure about regular pale ales.
There's a place down the street from me that sells 4-packs of Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout for $6.99
Torpedo with out a doubt. I can get it in Atlanta for $7:99 a 6 pack.
I approve this message
Lagunitas Maximus 6/pack- $9.99
Weihenstraphaner. All 500ml bottles are usually $3.49.
Word class Quad. Always on the shelf. Tast full of awesomness.
Pliny at $4.99 for 500ml.
If you are lucky enough to find it, and find it at that price. (at least in the northwest)
Her name was June and she worked at the Ocean in Vegas, er...
Probably Racer 5, Hop Stoopid and lagunitas IPA
I always go with New Belgium Ranger IPA. A decent IPA for $12 a 12 pack.
Got a sixtel of Old Rasputin for $100. No Regrets
I never hesitate grabbing a $8.99 sixer of Dale's.
Westvleteren 12 at the abbey for about $2 per bottle.
Alaskan Amber is 9.99 a 12 pack at my local Rite Aid. Great craft beer to buy for parties where not everyone is a fan of craft.
I can't believe I forgot and that no one else mentioned Black Boss Porter at 2 bucks a pint, for what to me at least is one of my favorite brews, what could be better.
I was just about to suggest the same thing. 2 bucks for 500 ml, 9.4% ABV, tastes great. Only problem is I have trouble finding it.
really? I don't think I've ever been to a liquor store that didn't have it. If we get it in WI you should get it in IA. I would guess stores by you just aren't ordering it.
I guess that makes $3.49 seem like an even better deal. Time for a Hop Stoopid Hands New Years Party!
SD Costco's have Victory @ Sea for $6 a bottle right now. That's $72 a case, and about $30 less than it would cost you at the brewery. Good deal.
Really, no one is saying that westy 12 was a steal at $84? I mean, you got a glass after all.....
Korbinian is a great beer for $3.50/500mL. Avec les Bon Vouex is great at $10.
Hard to justify prices for great beers? I love bam, but $11 for a 750 of something with a starting gravity under 1.040, crystal hops, and 2 weeks in a barrel is tough.
North Coast - Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout
9% ABV highly cellarable, bottled year round, and easy to find
$2.49 for 12oz. or $8.99 for 4 pack (12 oz.)
Hands down best value for a great beer to drink or put down in the cellar.
Yeah that depends upon an operational definition of delivery vis a vis chemicals and uptake...so snarky but semantically impotent.
Dominion Oak Barrel Stout. It's $8 a 6 pack, with more character and drinkability than some $8 bombers.
Picked up this years Brooklyn BCS today for $7.99/4.
That's the same price since '09 in my area while many others have gone up in price, some a little, some a lot. Kudos to Brooklyn for making this fantastic brew at this fantastic price.
