Best beer with a cheap price

They dont even sell that stuff here. Theres a store that sells Genny, Genny Cream, Genny Ice and I expect to see the Bock right there with it and its never there.

 

Mix a Six at 711 ? Damn, the 711's here dont even sell alcohol.

 

I've seen Port Brewing Wipeout IPA for $5.99 per bomber. That's a great price for an excellent IPA. But in terms of best value for domestic beers in sixers, who can argue with Lagunitas? Lil' Sumpin' Sumpin', IPA, Maximus, Sucks, Cappuccino Stout...All in six packs and usually at or below $12? That's awesome, if you ask me.

 

I have found a place in town with Hop Stoopid for $3.50. I don't know why I don't buy it more often!

SNPA, Torpedo and SN Seasonals are always a great deal.

Narragansett is the stuff to get when going for super-cheap.

 

This thread makes me hate my NY state prices.

 

Makes me hate 'em for a different reason. I saw on one thread that someone in NY State could get Genesee Cream Ale for $7-8 a 12-pack. That's what I would pay in the Houston area for a six-pack. Damn.

That's how growlers should be... Places out in LA have insane growler prices. A growler of beachwoodbbq beers start at $17. May was well drink it there...

You'd get sick of it if you drank it too much though, but its readily available and a very pedestrian price to match.
Aside from weihenstaphaner hefe and dunkels, I don't know any other beer that cheap that tops a category in their respective style.

edit: I guess heady topper is that cheap... if you're part of the lucky few who can buy it.

I'll have to check with them, because it may be a typo, but the Spec's Houston website has Full Sail Session Lager and Black Lager for $4.20 a six-pack. With the 5% cash discount, that would make it an even $4 a sixer. For a beer that good, nothing comes close to that price. I hope it's not a mistake.

 

4 hands in STL have pretty good prices on 22oz bottles. It is hard to pass up their IPA for less than $4. Otherwise a sixer of Founders Centenial is great choice when trying to keep it a cheap night but still enjoy a great beer.

The more I drink the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, the more I think that might be the best of all possible worlds for the price. So well balanced and yummy ... and you can find it everywhere.
