Allagash Confluence and Curieux are tied.
A 2011 Dogfish Head 130 Minute comes to mind. As does a 2013 World Wide.
KBS and Barrel Aged Framinghammer were excellent.

CBS followed by KBS. I know many will rate BCBS or another variant from GI right up there with these 2 but not me. Both offerings from Founders are far and away the best - to me. CBS wins by a slight margin, KBS second and then its a sizeable gap. I was lucky enough to enjoy a total of 10 pours of CBS and maybe 15 or so of KBS at several tapping's recently they are both simply amazing brews. There's another KBS tapping coming up this week and I'm seriously thinking about delaying a planned trip down the Jersey shore to make it. We'll see.

Me too, and the barmaid made a error and served me a pint, not the small pour called for. By the way I did not enjoy it.

Clown Shoes Itasca Loonidragon. At 14.5% it is also the highest ABV beer I have had. Just phenomenal. I loved the Blaecorn Unidragon, and this was a clear step up in flavor.

Love how the OP returned to the thread to specify ONE (best) beer but people still ignore him..

I don't know the answer, too many beers, too many years. It's not like I'm gonna get penalized for the wrong answer so let's say....Kane, A Night to End All Dawns Vanilla. Wowza. Could be about 10 others though, at least.

Not agreeing with that, but I rarely find any beer of that style to my liking on tap. The exception is barrel aged stuff, like Prairie's Branson#1 Stout...

Hard to pick one – for me it’s a tie between:

De Molen Hel & Verdoemenis Wild Turkey Eisbock (2013 – 18 % ABV)
Struise Woody Albert (13 % ABV)
Magic Rock Grand Marnier Bearded Lady (10.5 % ABV)

Cigar city stuff in their brew pub is only one I can remember. various versions of their imp stouts.
That actually came out of a keg and 1 came out of a cask. rare to see over 10% here in Florida
At least in Jacksonville area. I cannot remember ever seeing 1, as for the best, well good question.

I'd love to have KBS on tap, I've never seen it here and I doubt I ever will, but it's a great beer that IMO is better fresh.
