My wife doesn't drink, but Berkshire's Raspberry Strong Ale comes out every year for Valentine's Day, and I always enjoy one, even though I'm generally not fond of flavored beer.

Old Leghumper. Because for many on Valentines, that will be as far as they get.

And a fun recommendation I actually got from one of my female customers: if you mix a lambic with Hoegaarden, you get a dirty hoe. Awesome...cheers!

Rose de Gambrinus is always good. But I'd definitely drink something high in ABV too, like a Chocolate Rain.

I'll probably just go with whatever goes with dinner. I was gifted a case of Kuhnhenn and an order from Erte for v-day, so I am pretty much not going to best that. At least not with beer.

Clearly OP is not listening to anyone here. Chocolate stouts. There is no other option. Personally, Rogue Double Chocolate Stout is in my fridge. Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate, Yard's Love, GD Chocolate Yeti...
    P.S. Orchid's, not roses.

Well, I had a huge problem deciding on which beer to give my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. First I just got her a bottle of Rogue Double Chocolate Stout. Then I got a four pack of Sierra Nevada's Ovila Quad with plums and put one in her gift bag. Then I put a DFH Raison D'Entre into her bag, because she told me she loved it. And just now I went Porter crazy and got a mix-four of Edmund Fitzgerald, Taddy Porter, Napa Smith Bonfire and Breckenridge Vanilla Porter.

So she's basically getting a bunch of good beer.

Interestingly enough, I just had the Portsmouth Brewery's Cream Ale, which was soaked in beets for a day. Beautiful red color, the taste wasn't altered all that much, but definitely cool!

A nice light brew like a wit or light pale ale with your appetizer or salad. A nice Dubbel with steak (if that's what you're having). Espresso or Chocolate oak aged Yeti with dessert!
