I love getting ideas for new places.

Right now I'm going to put my vote for Town Hall. I think their burger is really good and can't beat the beer.

    Others I think highly of:

Blue Door: Excellent burgers and solid but small tap line of craft.
Shamrocks: Slightly better tap options than Nook. Pretty much the same burger. Burgers are great.

Love the burgers and fries/tots at Bulldog NE (not sure if other locations have the same menu) and they always have a solid tap list.

    So many great choices.

Lately I'm loving Red Cow (either location). They have had some killer taps, and the burgers are phenomenal.

Bulldog NE has some great burgers too, and typically a solid tap list.

Love shamrocks juicies, but not a great beer place.

Lake and Irving, Lucias, Lowbrow. Apparently I like burgers at places that start with "L".

I'll throw in a vote for Red Cow and Gold Nugget.

Last two times I was at Red Cow I had the bacon burger (bacon + beef mixed) and Darkness on tap and the other time I had a burger with figs and goat cheese with Rum King on tap.

Gold Nugget always has interesting burgers, they do a burger of the week sort of thing and got an email today saying they have Fulton Barrel Aged Libertine on tap.

I've always enjoyed Buster's on 28th! Solid burgers and, this has probably already been shouted out in the tap thread, but just saw on FB that there's a bevy of Barrel Aged things getting tapped there next week.

These aren't listed in order, because the priority depends on which burger might be in the mood for...

    Red Cow
    Haute Dish
    Gold Nugget
    Blue Door

The Prairie Tap House. Nice place, excellent burgers, and the best tap list in the suburbs.

It was mentioned in the OP.

I do not think The Nook has the tap list to compete with the others mentioned in the thread.

One place I really like but I think is underappreciated is Mackenzie pub on Hennepin.Always great beer on tap(served through always clean lines) and fantastic burgers.

Agreed about the beer. I go there a decent bit and try and post in here when there's something really interesting on tap. I'll have to try the burger next time I'm in as I don't think I've ever had one in there.

Anyone have recommendations for the SW burbs? Normally I just go to Vic's in Victoria because they have Enki and Surly on tap.

Bricks had a solid burger and descent tap list. Not sure if the new building is done yet, I know they ran into issues, but it has to be soon if it isn't already.

He did, just said that Shamrock's tap list is better (which it is). The burgers, as he stated, are pretty much the same. If no one had, it would have been a travesty for this thread!

I was really disappointed by their service the one time my wife and I went there. Tap list was underwhelming, compounded by a server who didn't know what was on tap and stuff being listed on the menu but not available.

I'll second Prairie Tap House for the SW suburbs, though.

    Pig & Fiddle in Edina.

I was pleasantly surprised by JL Beers. Burgers were good (and a good price at $5-6). Fry size if a quibble at $3 for a 2/3 of what you get at most places. Beer selection was decent. I'd go back.

I didn't love my experience at BT. I went there when they had Eight on tap, it was $10 for an 8 oz pour. Got 8 oz of beer a juicy lucy and fries for $25 in Savage? No thank you. Not worth it. Lucy was just ok. It's not going to get me to come back if they can't fix their beer prices.

I agree. They have good food but it and the beer is way over priced for the area. I go there occasionally because I live close but I would go a lot more if they had better prices.

Can't say I disagree on these points but what are the other options in the area? As someone who's been in there almost weekly during the warmer months it's always tough getting a table during the dinner hour and almost as tough to find a parking spot even with the expanded lot. The past few years they've worked to have at least a few interesting items on tap. They may be pricey but you'd have to head down to Highway 42 and/or towards the interstate before you find something comparable to their menu unless El Loro decides to branch out or one of those bars along 13 can last longer than 18 months. Price-wise I may not like it but market-wise, I'd say they've got their niche and not much competition.
