Lots of great great beers being listed here. No doubt! The OP did however ask for the "best" canned beer.

The one and only possible answer therefore must be: Heady Fkin Topper!

Oh yeah I forgot to add: IMHO.

I must be a BA veteran. I think I've seen this thread and its various iterations at least as often as
    "best lawnmower beer"
"does (insert beer name) taste different this year"
"if you only had one beer to drink"
    "top (pick a number) beers"
    and a few more ever-popular time-tested re-posted threads I'll think of later...

One of the most interesting tasting brews in a can I have tried is the 3beans coffee and chocolate porter from six point

Heady Topper. But in terms of what I can get around here, Dale's, Grey Sail Flying Jenny, and Sixpoint Righteous are all favorites

PBR... No but from what Ive had Id say my favorite canned beer so far would have to be Ten Fidy. Also Dales Pale Ale is right up there too, depends on the mood I am in.

Edit: also I really like Revolution Anti Hero, So I guess these are my top 3. Haven't had to many canned beers overall though.

Cigar City Jai Alai IPA. The cans also fared well in the checked luggage from TPA to the midwest.

Yeah, I don't know if it's the "best" because I've probably only had a couple dozen canned craft brews so far, but I finally had a Daisy Cutter two weeks ago and that beer was pretty much perfect.

I would agree. Just got some the other day and I've never had a canned beer that tasted that good. Poured in a glass of course.

I usually drink in the living room, but when I do drink beer in the can, I prefer Ten Fidy.

To those that have not chose Heady, was it only because you haven't had it?

Baxter Brewing in Maine does a very good IPA called Stowaway all their beers are canned. Heady Topper is awesome but hard to get.

You're a pioneer, I'll give you that. Once glass aged heady is a success lets petition to throw it in some PVW barrels for a year lol.

    Anything by Surly is great.

There's a brewery in Indiana called Sun King that makes some good stuff.

Karbach in TX has some nice beers

The couple beers that Sixpoint in NY sent mewere both dank

Santa Fe Brewing Co had some decent stuff as well

Anderson Valley just started canning, and they have some nice beer

Haven't had the chance to try Heady or Ten Fidy yet so I'll go with Dale's Pale Ale.

Full Nelson from Blue Mountain Brewery is canned nirvana
DC Brau - anything from them is canned nirvana
Dales Pale Ale is rumored to have started the whole canna-revolution and can't be praised enough

Ten Fidy, Jai Alai, Surly Furious and Modus Hoperandi are all good beers. I'd drink them all, all the time.
