Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but I had the opportunity to try Surly Coffee Bender from a friend. Definitely recommend this if you want to try something other than a coffee stout.

Allagash James Bean (in my dreams). This beer is still a long way off from hitting the streets, but I am fascinated by it. Back to reality: I love FBS and Hill Farmstead's Earl and Twilight of the Idols.

Kane Morning Bell. Kane's a New Jersey brewery that teamed up with a New Jersey coffee roaster Rook Coffee Roasters to combine dark roasted Sumatra with a 9.2% ABV imperial milk porter. Growlers only.

Most of everything mentioned is pretty damn tasty. I am surprised there is no love for New Blegium - Lips Of Faith - Imperial Coffee Chocolate Stout.

I can now vouch for this beer as well, I just had some a little while ago and it's very good. Also, the Terrapin Wake n' Bake is very good, although I'm sure that has already been mentioned somewhere.

Read through all the posts. Some awesome beers here, and some I will have to seek out as I love coffee.

Here's one that has yet to be mentioned. It is freaking awesome--worth tracking down.

Well, after 4 pages a lot of great beers have been mentioned. I would add, although they are not necessarily available in your area, Valdez from Pisgah and Cafe Silk Porter from Hoppin Frog. Both are great beers.

I've only had Valdez once, on tap, while spending time in Asheville, and I loved it.

HF Cafe Silk Porter I have had a few of, and It has a great black coffee taste. An excellent brew.

I finally drank the Midnight Sun Brewtality that was sitting in my fridge for probably too long, but it was definitely delicious (and made me wish I'd picked up more bottles...)

Definitely an underrated beer. Similar to Great River Redband Stout. Also stellar.

I will also second Big Hugs. This years' version from Half Acre is phenominal--had it on tap at their new taproom last night.

I'm going to nominate two: best coffee flavor and best stout base.
For coffee flavor, I'm going with WnB. I describe it to people as a cup of fresh brewed coffee poured into your beer.
Best stout base for me is bcbcs.

Harpoon's 100 barrel series coffee porter, best coffee beer I have ever had, if you want that pure coffee taste.

Never had that one but I am sure its good...LH knows how to make a nice stout and porter. Their Week Sauce Coffee Porter was quite enjoyable last year as well too.

Dark Horse Perkulator Coffee Dopplebock. Fantastic. Very nice change to have a coffee brew that is NOT a stout. One of my new favorites.
