BEST HAZY beer from your STATE?

I think there are enough travelers (both incoming and those outgoing) and traders (or mules for family) that a minority are aware of the greatness beyond the state lines. Walk into a couple places or at brewfests, and the shirts people wear and talk of beers or breweries on the west coast are much more common at the moment, but the net has been spread pretty wide for the most part.

I know La Cumbre had an unfiltered Project Dank awhile back (I found it up to snuff with their regular dank but nothing other worldly (yes some juice bombs upon first sniff and taste are other worldly)). Rowley Farmhouse Ales and Quarter Celtic both tried a NE "style" IPA recently. I tried neither. But word is that they were solid (solid isnt good enough with the haze imho).

I want to say standards are set so high for the west coast style (and even a mix that has tropical fruit elements with high bitterness), that a NE IPA really has to hit it out of the park. A lot of breweries here don't have the backing or dare I say balls to go head deep with the Haze. But it would surely be a home run.

Places are barely getting their barrel programs up and running, let alone trying kettle sours. We're always just a few steps behind. I give it a year before a place dedicates themselves to the haze.

 

It really is, when it first came out two (?) months ago is was an instant hit! Juicy, hazy and still a nice hop bite!
