I’m usually very comfortable drinking many and most styles from the “Traditional Tulip Pint”.

But my vote goes to “does it even matter?” Simply because I love weird and traditional glassware in all forms, and I’ll use whichever glass for whatever I want. I’ll typically use traditional and proper glassware for German styles, but most American styles I’m just throwing it in whatever feels right.

I usually use over-sized mugs for all beers, I can stick half of my face in there and smell all the hops I want.

I voted for "The Hoppy Beer Glass", I have never seen one in person, it's more interesting(finger grips and that strange angle) than the regular tulip glass and I could not pick "Does glassware even matter"

I like fancy, but overly fancy is not necessary. The regular tulip for me.

I just looked up what "The Hoppy Beer Glass" is, and also perused the rest of their website.

All their glassware just seems unnecessary. Both in terms of function and price.

It's not priced too high or unnecessary for the pretentious!

The hedonist in me has always wanted a glass from Pretentious. I think it’s cool that each order is handmade, and it looks like they are quite sturdy. But the realist in me will never let me pull the trigger on one. Plenty of unique glassware out there for much, much less.

It is there might not be a direct rip off but you could certainly describe it as "new and improved" if you understand the lingo.

The Spiegelua copied the basic shape, narrowed the base therefore having to enlarge the snifter half and removed the mouth lip.

You'd make a great witness for Boston Beer in the copyright infringement case. Or would it be for Spiegelau?

It's technically not copyright infringement. If you look at the transition as a 3 part process is makes more sense.

First Sam Adams adapted a standard pint glass shape into one of the best glasses of all time. Slimmed down bottom with a lump for grip, widened top with a mouth lip for enhanced aroma. Not to mention the laser etched bottom for optimal head.

The Spiegelua just did what Sam Adams did but more extreme and in a thinner glass so it is destined to break and proclaimed themselves the greatest.

I drink ipas from my pils glass every now and then, I have a ton of glass but I still what I feel like just to show them some love. My favorite are my HF Balloon glasses, but due to the fact I’m a terrible breaker of glass I rarely use them. Same with my 3F Teku, I love it but I can’t replace these glasses, easily anyway.

When I first got into craft in 2015, I was at a liquor store buying a Belgian beer to try; Kasteel Barista Chocolate Quad Belgian Ale. I got talking to the store owner and mentioned that I needed to buy some proper glassware as I had been drinking craft from a coffee mug. She takes me back to the office, rummages around, and gave me the glass below. I got a kick out of their building in the base. One of the cooler glasses I have, and I'm a regular shopper at that store now.

I'm a stickler for not drinking out of bottles/cans but I chose "Doesn't really matter".

For most beers I don't care about the details as long as it has a stem so that I'm not overly warming the beer while holding it. I have a bunch of different specialized glassware but over the past year I've mostly been drinking out of a cheap, generic tulip glass I got as an entry gift at a bar one night just because I like how it feels in my hand.

Love drinking IPAs and Pilsner beers from a Willi Becher. Sometimes I'll drink from a $6 Genesee Brew House IPA speegaloo knockoff glass.

FYI, on design of glassware it would be a patent.
