Absolutely, without question, Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier. There is no equal in Hefeweizens.

I have done many comparisons with that and Live Oak Hefe. Both blind and just side by side. I have never been able to say definitively which one I like better (in the case of blind tasting, which is which) Both great. Though I might like Weihenstephaner Kristallweissbier even better than their regular hefe.

Anyway, can't answer the question. Way to many to choose. Anything from cask conditioned Tim Taylor, JW Lees Harvest, Traquar House Ale, Orval, Saison Dupont, any number of German breweries, any number of Cantillon's...

Weihenstephaner hefeweizen would be my favorite, followed by some Belgian quads.

IMO, if you really want to be an awesome beer advocate, you keep at least 3-4 of many of these wide style variety European beers mentioned in your fridge at any time to share with guests. All world class, most sold in 12oz bottles, most are easy to find most anywhere in US, most are inexpensive. Even in the high-priced sour segement, big bottles of Rodenbach Grand Cru go for $10 most anywhere. Comparable quality US market sours in 750ml bottles are $15-$30 range.

Tim Taylor is hard to beat for sure

And as for Live Oak Hefe - had the pleasure of trying that when I was down in Austin back in April - amazing stuff!

Good to see DDC getting lots of love. As another Canadian who pretty pretty much only drinks Canadian...
    Driftwood- Fat Tug IPA
Les Trois Mousquetiares - Porter Baltique Bourbon/brandy BA or regular, I just love this beer.
Paddock Wood - Sledgehammer, a one off BA Imperial Red that I would be totally cool drowning in.

Even if America is included they don't make the best beer ever.

I'm sure I'm just being nostalgic, but Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout is still a favorite, as is Youngs Chocolate Stout. I know you can do better in the US, but I have a soft spot in my heart for them.

Disclaimer! I seldom scroll through all the posts of these forums so I am not sure how redundant this will sound but...
Since my last visit, last year, to Denmark I would have to put them at the top of my list!
While Belgium has been one of my favorite country's, producing good beer, for a while I have to tip my hat to the Danes for being not only solid beer producers, not counting carlesberg which is there local macro lager brewery, but artistic and collaborative projects as well! If anyone here in the states likes Evil Twin, the brewery not the beer, then just remember where the founding member hales from. And if you have only had the Amager brewery's collaborations, with brewery's all over the world, I suggest you try there originals! Top notch beers all around. And then of course there's Mikkeller! While they can be a bit one sided at times he is truly a artisanal brewer! ...
And that is my 2 cents. Skål!!!
