I wanted to give a shout out to Fort Point's kiosk in the SF Ferry Building for offering some of the lowest prices on growler fills I've seen in the city. They charge between $10-12 for a fill, which makes me think I've either gone back in time 15 years or am back in the midwest. (I hope this will be the price range, and not a temporary thing as they've recently opened.) Seeing as how they're a short hop from the connection I take on days I use transit, and they'll fill my Miir growler, I couldn't be happier. Plus, their beers are delicious!

So, in an area where taxes (and a tip) pushes your standard growler fill above a Jackson on a regular basis, what are some of your favorite spots that'll let you take a half gallon of beer home for the price of a movie?

Oh I was going to say the same about Fort Point being ridiculously inexpensive.

Linden Street is usually $10 a fill from what I remember.

The Sierra Nevada Torpedo Room has some cheap fills as well.

Fort Point also has low ABV beers.
Not sure if there is a correlation there but that was my immediate thought.

Ale Industries in Oakland is great. Good, unique beers and most fills are $10.
