Goin' old skool punk with The Adicts - Who Spilt My Beer.
Hope I don't catch it for this, but I love the line "Pour my beer down the sink, I've got more in the trunk."
Korpiklaani also has a song called Sahti
Reel big fish, beer.
Drop kick murphys spicy mc haggis jig
Oops...I rewrote what I saw on the lyrics site. I'm too young to remember Ballantine's in its heyday, so I didn't catch the mistake - although my dad, who was fond of their offerings in the 70s, recently gave me an IPA brewed by the latest incarnation of Ballantine's.
During the Paul's Boutique days, the Beasties were anything but concerned with copyright infringement, so likely an error in the lyrics on the site.
You know what, Stuart?
I like you
You're not like the other people here, in the trailer park
Oh, don't go get me wrong
They're fine people, they're good Americans
But they're content to sit back
Maybe watch a little Mork and Mindy on channel 57
Maybe kick back a cool Coors 16-ouncer
They're good, fine people, Stuart
But they don't know
What the queers are doing to the soil
Oh shit, just remembered this gem:
Thread pretty much over I'd say.
Old punk is an extremely rich vein for these.
If we're gonna do Sublime let's choose a track that names an actual beer:
Tom Waits, stating the obvious as only he can: I'd rather have a bottle in front'a me than a frontal lobotomy.
And of course: Warm beer and cold women/I just don't fit in/Every joint I stumbled into tonight/That's just how it's been
From David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust-
"Just the Beer light to guide us"
Cold Gold by Jackie Martling
Yesssss I came here to post FIDLAR.
Reverend Horton Heat - Liquor, Beer and Wine
Ever since you left me, I live out of my car,
Parked between the liquor store and Uncle Bubba's bar.
Booze helps ease the heartache, you're constantly in mind,
As constant as that buzzin', Lord, of Uncle Bubba's sign.
Favorite song about beer is Jim Ed Brown's recording of Pop A Top:
Favorite song that mentions beer is Dylan's Tangled Up In Blue.
I also like any song that involves drinking in the morning... a couple of which have already been mentioned.
A couple that mention the pint that the beer is in ( for @Lingenbrau ? ) & " a tankard of ale"
This is apparently adapted from an old drinking song. ( & might be just me, but 4:15-4:35 seems like a sped up, metalized Gilligan's Island theme song. )
& of course an ode to Guinness
I know I've posted others to WBADN?, that aren't already listed, but can't think of 'em at the moment. There were also a couple with somebody playing the guitar with the beer. (bottle)
I dig it! Reminds me of "Billy Passed the Third Grade" :]
I forgot about that! Awesome song. My Finnish friends would shame me if they knew I forgot.
I called up by buddy Jack Daniels and his buddy Jimmy Beam.
Oh man, I can go on and on forever! Here's some of my favorites:
Surprised no one mentioned this.
From Chicago's finest.
Obviously growing up a shithead punk rocker had its benefits of beer anthems. Cheers!
Forgot about that one. Classic!
(I too forgot what they're doing to the soil. )
Alright...lets dig a bit deeper with songs that mention beer...
"Barroom Hero" - Dropkick Murphy's
"7 Years Down" - Rancid (actually mentions Heineken)
"Beer Bong" - NoFX
If anybody can find a video of Abalienation - Spending All My Paychecks On Beer , I'd love to see/hear it again.
"There's some cold ones way down here in the bottom ..."
"Beer" - People Under The Stairs
"“En El Cielo No Hay Cerveza" - Flaco Jimenez
"Ask ya sister, her beat box is more bigger / DOOM, that n***a detox with malt liquor"
To date my favorite drinking song:
"So gimme a guinness, gimme a keystone light, gimme a kegger on a friday night, gimme anything but another year in this life...I need a whiskey!"
This is one of my favorites:
A Six Pack To Go.
Freakin' Dope! This song sounds like the 18th year of my life. A true gem!
Thanks for this!
Absolutely! One of my favorite bands doin' their thing currently.
FRANK ZAPPA- TITIES AND BEER
ZZ Top-Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers
Here's the rest of my beer. Goin home with my demons!
The Clancy Brothers -
Dropkick Murphys -
That's a pretty nice mix of music that features beer.
One more for now.
Can't forget Murphy's Law.... O.k. I'm done for now.
Here's another good one I don't think anyone's mentioned yet. Replacements- Beer for Breakfast
That album is a close second to Red Headed Stranger.
