    Real Ale Scots Gone Wild
Real Ale Barrel Aged XV anniversary (I've lost track of how many names this beer's been given)
Karbach Bourbon Barrel Aged Hellfighter - This remained a strong #1 until RA's tap takeover at the Lakewood Whole Foods in July
Peticolas Wintervention (the best winter seasonal made in Texas IMO)
    Karbach Pontificator

One that was about impossible to get that I was fortunate enough to get about 8 ounces of was Buffalo Bayou Pistachio Cream Ale.

That was a very nice beer. I'd love to see it become a regular beer.

Sadly they still only have 1 regular beer.

Will limit myself to top five:

    1. Karbach Bodacious (This one was easily my first choice, the rest could easily switch places depending on my mood, etc.)
    2. Deep Ellum Wealth and Taste
    3. Saint Arnold Bishop's Barrel #1
    4. Southern Star Pro-AM 2012
    5. Jester King Ol' Oi

Just missed the cut: Real Ale Brewer's Cut Quadruple, Saint Arnold Endeavor, Black Star Old Sour Dewberry, NXNW Blackjack Stout, and Buffalo Bayou Gingerbread Stout

BBA Hellfighter was #1 for sure until trying RA BBA 15
    Endeavour for sure
Pro Am 2012 was surprisingly great
Charlie's IPA from Middleton Brewing Co. was crazy, but will be draft only now, the rest of them are all obvious

This was my first year trading and also my first year experiencing great craft beers hailing from the nation of Texas. That being said, here are my favorites thus far, short and sweet:

Rahr BBWW - This is one I could drink for a month straight and not get tired of.
SA Bishops Barrel #1 - I like what they did with this one, minus the price point.
Southern Star Pro-Am 2012 - Awesome. Held a tasting with HT and Pliny and this stuck with them in terms of enjoyment.

    Freetail Raspberry Ananke
    Freetail Blueberry Ananke :)
    Freetail Peche'cus
Acreage watermelon saison (actually, this might top my list, as others have said)
...and when it was served correctly, Ranger Creek Strawberry Milk Stout

I might like fruity things. Maybe. :/

As a visitor coming from Colorado, this is great research material. Glad that Texas is making some interesting craft brews. I'm guessing there's gonna a be sh*t ton more breweries in the future. Excited to visit and leave with some Texas beer soon.

Well Billy Ripken "F" face loves that craft beer now. Especially that barrel aged stuff.

    My top picks of 2012

Favorite IPA: Deep Ellum - IPA: This brewery hit the ground running, and brews my favorite IPA in Texas right now.

Favorite Stout: Austin Beerworks - Sputnik - Amazing coffee stout. Who needs 4loco for pep and a buzz when you can drink this?

Favorite Sour: Jester King - Buddha's Brew - Kombucha and beer? Kombrewcha.. Great tart flavor. Lower ABV makes for a great daytime drinking beer.

Most Anticipated: Jester King - Funk Metal - If you are into Texas craft beer, Funk Metal was on your radar long before its release. Lived up to the hype and reconfirmed that Jester King takes the crown as far as experimental Texas beer is concerned.

Best Series: Real Ale - Mysterium Verum - Scots Gone Wild, Vol XV, Imperium, Shipwrecked.. Every one of these beers is no doubt among the best in the state. If only they'd bottle this stuff..
