Finally figured out how to get those pesky Russian River Brewing Co. labels off!! 1 minute on high in the microwave, grab with a over mitt and take a sharp non serrated knife to get behind one corner. Slowly peel a little bit back working down the side until the side of the label is peeled back 1/4 inch or so, then gently pull the whole label off. It comes off really clean if you are using the labels for art like I am! Now I can get all the Pliny, Blind Pig, Salvation, and Damnation labels I want!

I'm lazy, so I prefer letting my dishwasher do the heavy lifting of getting labels off.

Favorites. Lagunitas, and Anchor Steam. Single cycle and they mostly come off by themselves.
Founders, Sierra Nevada sometimes come off clean, and other times leave a lot of glue.
If they stay stuck during the cycle. Each of the above, peel right off if you catch them while they are still hot as well.

The mylar/plasticy sticker labels which most Chicago breweries seem to use are fairly easy to peel off, and sometimes come off clean if you get them within days of being packaged. After that, they tend to separate, tear and also leave residue which is hard to clean off.
Worst local? Revolution. I have never been able to remove theirs without way more effort than I feel is necessary.

I concur with @MostlyNorwegian regarding Lagunitas and Anchor Steam. I soak in hot water and PBW. The Lagunitas labels fall off on their own. The Sierra Nevada labels do have massive amounts of glue. Once the labels have been peeled off, scrubbing with a brush under hot water easily removes the glue.

Stone labels are for the ages... no ned to remove.

Methyl Ethyl Ketone from hardware stores will melt any glue holding the labels but it's got a powerful smell.

I'm pretty sure that this stuff has a very low flash point, so it has to be used in a well ventilated area away from ignition sources.
