One east coaster family skiing at Breckenridge, the other at Steamboat .... wanting to meet somewhere for great craft .... brewpub or multi-tap ..... any recommendations from the locals or the experienced?

um, steamboat and breck are like 100 miles apart with nothing in between... the family in steamboat would basically need to come at least to frisco to find what youre looking for.

Yeah, thats gonna be tough. The Steamboat crew will need to come to Dillon/Frisco. One of the blessings and curses of Steamboat is its remoteness. Its my favorite town in CO, but theres no way id make that trek down 40 just to grab a beer.

Another option outside of meeting in Summit county would be Crazy Mountain in Edwards. It's about an hour from Breck and 90 minutes from Steamboat. This way you both have some skin in the game.

As the others said, Frisco is probably the best best

steamboat is rad as fuck, but a huge part of both its allure and downfall is its isolation.

Dillon Dam isn't a bad option. Id make the trip to fort Collins no matter how far.
